If you screw the metal plate onto a hardwood base, it helps keep the holesaw centred and can help not getting eviscerated on the drill press. Thanks for the video, can't wait for the start up!

Excellent idea. It would be a lot safer. Sometimes my impatience gets the best of me. Ha ha!!

@@conrad1468. Same here! I'm always messing up drying paint or forgetting to hook up cables and pipes in my rush to see these things running again. I need to remember the same advice I give the kids. Just wait or you'll need to do the whole thing over again!

So true. Sometimes I don’t even think of somethings until after I’m done working.

Awesome stuff Corey! I love these videos! That tiny brass thingy is a ferrule. Some call them olives too. The whole contraption is a compression fitting! Keep up the Awesomeness!

Thank you Sir!! You’re right! Good one! I’ve never heard it being called an olives. That’s a new one.

With all the Excellent work you've shown why didn't you use the floor switch for the headlights?
& who restores the oil temp guages?
Good work keep posting the videos.

Thank you Sir!! I put the switch on the dash so the switch won’t get wet and will work all the time. Since it’s going to be driven in whatever weather including rain or rivers. I figure to move the switch high. If you Google Smiths Gauge restoration. I few places will pop up that restore old ones and sell new ones. I won’t be spending the cash since aftermarket gauges are so cheap.
