I like most the one where they all looked in different directions, one lady on the phone and 3 more people. Your favorite with the red white tape is great as well. Your work is pretty outstanding
I prefer the Athens monochrome over the color ones. But then again, you had far better and more dramatic light in Athens. TFS your view trough your images. Very much appreciated. PS; my fav is the couple where the girl is draped in the Belgium 🇧🇪 flag.
What a comeback! You certainly have a knack for capturing these moments that many people won’t even take notice. Agree with the favorite shots, as well as self-critique. That’s not easy to do. And, yes, thank you for ditching the monochrome. You have such a strong sense of color, so why limit (i.e., handicap) yourself?
Thanks a ton for the kind words and the warm welcome back :) I still got my Leica Q2M and I am planning to use it very soon a new video. It's a brilliant camera :) And to be honest I have never been good at spotting colours on the streets BUT I guess I am improving :). Cheers ! :)
Although we missed your videos with the excellent intros and the very well composed shots, a break is always a good idea to recover and be able to continue to grow and create at the highest level. Good to have you back and I can't wait to see what your next episodes will bring😉👏👏👏
Hi Alexandru ! Many thanks for your support ! If I am not wrong, I haven't seen you on instagram in a while :) Are you taking a break as well? Or simply quit instagram ? Thanks for being (still) being here after all this time and break :) !
I'm so glad to have watched his video as in a month's time I'll be in Brussels with my Q2 for a week. I notice you only use the lcd screen for taking photos. Is this just for videos or for stills also? Could you please find a moment to comment on this. What camera strap did you use with the Q2? Is it Peak Design? Thank you and stay well.
Welcome back Octavian. Sreetphotgraphy can really burn us out. Glad you have come back refreshed. Always a pleasure to watch your POV's. for me images 3 and 28 my favourites but i do appreciate the work and thought in all. Best wishes
Thank you Harry ! For me it was mostly RUclips, the pressure of posting regularly , the pressure of delivering good content. Thanks for still being around here, really appreciate it ! Cheers !
2:42 This is how a good photo walk can begin. Amazing photo! Certainly a great motivation for the rest of the day. By the way, always very well done atmospheric intros
Yes! Thank you! That is the supreme motivation for me :) starting the day with a good pictures makes it so much better. Thanks for watching the video Florian :)
Welcome back! So, I got to know what made you giggle after taking the shot of the squatting guy with the large hat? Your slo-mo stuff would make good content by themselves, but I like the way you bookend them at the beginning and end of the video. Good stuff!
Hi Luis! Thanks 🙏! I was giggling because me and Tibo went both to get that shot. I got one shot and then went across getting one more shot, he spotted me, then got one more shot and Tibo did exactly the same thing. So the guy was extremely confused. Hard to explain but we basically went 2 times in front of him me and Tibo, alternating :) . Cheers !
Welcome back, Octavian. You haven’t lost your special touch. Vid opener sets the “hot” scene mood. Balloon guy chase is pure “Octavian”😊 - pic 3 w/colors of balloon and sign in background work well. Nice of you to help the guy who seemed to struggle moving his rickety cart on the cobblestone street. Was that your photo friend who lent a hand with the cart? (Name escapes me, - Tibo?.) 11, layers (two sitting down) works well and 7, proximity shot, is also one of your hallmark images. Was this the holiday when street bands/dancers wear bells and toss oranges to onlookers? Holiday events can have sensory overload challenges to pick out subjects, but you did well. No food in this one - ice cream would not have lasted very long.😊 Cheers!
Hi Paul and thanks for the warm welcome back :). That was Tibo, yes :) Regarding the street dancers that toss oranges it's not the same ones that do it in Mons during the large Carnival, Festival... so I have been told. Food is coming in the next video, however not ice cream :) Thanks again for being here ! :)
Hi Octavian, I always appreciate your clips. Especially now that I too have a Q2. Just wondering why you don’t crop in more to extract key images from the wider shots? Or, as usual it’s a matter of taste. Anyway - keep up the good work1
Hi Jody ! I do crop my images. It depends on the context or if the pictures are really busy but sometimes, in order to showcase the crowded streets (specially during days like these eg National Day, I keep them busy to show exactly the way it is, packed). Thanks for the comment ! Cheers !
Hi Octavian! My favourites are the first one in the first position, obviously (what a way to start!), the 7 and 25. About this last one i like the gesture of the girl on the left
Hi Octavian, i went to the 21 Jul feest as well. Took the gfx. Street is not my specialty; I'm a studio & portrait photographer. Nice shots; the day was missing some real sunlight and shadows.
Hi there ! Thanks for watching ! Did you get any good shots with the GFX? It's not easy with all that people and crowds. I fully agree with you, the sun was out for just two hours in the afternoon, evening. That's a pity :( . Cheers !
@@OctavianCarare No, i decided it was not 'the right time'. I did make some great ones at other days. ;-) Colour of the GFX are superbe, the 16bit colour is noticeable.
Hi Bela ! Actually yes :) trying to cut out a bit the fat :)) . But next video will feature a waffle or ice cream or a cinnamon bun :) Cheers ! thanks for watching this !
Hi Ervano ! Thranks for your comment. As you probably already know, Street Photography is about the candid approach of photography and also about respecting the people you photograph. The pictures I show here are not in any circumstances putting the people in a bad light, just simply capturing them on the streets in a candid way. But I would love to hear your thoughts about how street photography shoot be practiced :) Cheers !

very nice - as usual - the Q2 shutter isn't really that loud is it? The Q3 is virtually silent - which is great for street.
