When I bought my challenger I actually had to find one without the sunroof but still had leather and paddle shifters. It was a bitch but I finally found one. I didn't want the extra weight at the top of the car. Call me picky I guess but I knew what I wanted and didn't make any exceptions

Besides the fact when the seals go bad they leak and you hear a annoying whistling sound above your head when the wind passes over the roof. I went and got a RT shaker black out edition, extremely happy at 51.it sounds great and fast old school feel. People compliment me everywhere, even helical owners, I love the shaker hood.
54 and just bought my first brand car. 370Z and it has some stomp for what it is.
At 70 I was still considering buying one. Why? Because I won't live long enough to pay it off! ( So I may just do it and screw the finance company after they've been screwing me for 50 years)!

I can sympathize with the first story. I went looking for a lot less car - I just wanted a 20 R/T 50th anniversary - but fell in love with this on the showroom floor. No regrets, though. I don't ever plan on selling it so the investment was worth it.

That message in the beginning hit me hard just got out the army in May and starting college next week, a lot of my family was shocked because I chose something in the medical field and I had trouble in school cause I couldn’t focus so my grades wasn’t the best. Now it’s my time to prove to myself that I can do this and have a good career.

At 58 years old & I bought a 2022 Challenger Hellcat Red Eye with 5000 miles on it and it still smells brand new. It is immaculate and can’t believe the power. It might be the only car I will probably never get full throttle. Thank you for all your advice on buying a car and couldn’t believe the crooked dealerships & salesman in South Florida. Only 2 dealers were honest & I bought it through a Ford dealer.

Love the channel. I ordered my Hell Cat on 7/22 and it was being built 8/17 and will be shipped 8/25. Can’t wait - ordered the red seat belts, and the Harmon Kardon but I passed on the sun roof. I always seem to have one on my cars but never use them so I passed. It was also about the look. I ordered Go Mango with the Satin Black hood. I love the old school muscle car look and didn’t want the black sunroof breaking up the color when I already have the black hood.

You need to tint that front windshield, lol. I have 5% all around on my scat, and 20% on the windshield. Visibility won’t be a problem. Makes the car look so much better and aggressive.

20 is way too dark for a windshield.... I went with 50 and its just right, I sometimes think I should have gone lighter at 60 but it works great in the day. Like having built in sunglasses.
I have 5% and can't see shit at night when I turn corners. Lol
One day I will prob change it. It looks great from the outside tho.

I loved my cloth seats in my Scat Pack. They weren’t freezing cold in the winter and didn’t burn my legs when I wear shorts in the summer like the black leather does. Lol.

Just picked up a new 2020 Hellcat Redeye and have the exact same regrets as you. I don’t have the upgraded sound system, red seatbelts or the sunroom, didn’t think it was a big deal until I drove the car a few days later. Like you, I woke up one day, blacked out , caught a flight to Michigan, purchased a brand new Redeye that I never saw or drove before and drove it back to Chicago. Love the car, wish it had a better sound system and sunroof at least.

It's crazy how the universe works. Last week my 5 year old daughter asked me to why don't I have my Hellcat charger yet and I told her, " I don't know baby." She said , "Don't you want it?" I said, "Yes. I do want it." She replies, "Then get it." It was like something went off inside me. I just finishing watching Art Williams - "Just do it" speech. I understand your comment on the stereo. I just bought a 2020 Daytona RT. Fully loaded but no stereo upgrade to Harmon Kardon. I live in Chicago area and looked for weeks for the car I wanted with better stereo. Could not be done. In my area very few dealers ordered that option. Will have to bite bullet and invest in after market as well. Very weird that some of these otherwise expensive cars did not have the nicer stereo
I installed red seat belts in mine. $695 for the parts and $225 for install at a good shop. I think that’s about the best you’ll be able to do. Installation is not terribly hard but for $225 it was worth it to have it done.

Those are two main things I look for in a car that I am interested in. What brand is the sound system and does it have a sunroof option. I am really liking the Bose sound system.

I ordered my 2020 Redeye without a sunroof and I don't regret it at all. My 2011 has a sunroof and I've used it twice, ever, and I lose headroom (with my hair styled I can feel it dragging on the headliner because of that extra lost space.) Since I plan on keeping this car until it dies, no need to buy a feature that the next person may want but that I don't. Definitely ordered the red seatbelts and the premium audio, though.
I can relate. This is why I now always order my cars. I got my ‘19 Challenger Scat Pack exactly as I wanted it.

I ordered my scatpack challenger 5 weeks ago. I'm told it has arrived at the local port and is being processed, and she should be at the dealership by Monday at latest, which would be exactly 6 weeks.

Agree 1000% on the audio... Never turned the radio on wanted to hear the exhaust note.
I put subs in mine, about a grand. There is a active eq mic on the passenger side that you need to modify otherwise the stereo will cut the bass out. The shop will literally cut one of the wires. Make sure to test your hands free calling, the guy at car toys who did mine cut the wrong wire the first time and I had to bring it back.
Your 100% right. I speced everything i wanted in my 2020 I,m glad i took the time to check all packages. It,s not easy alot of time. But sorry for u I got the red seat belts and love them. I got alot of thumbs up.
I ordered a AWD GT in Hellraisen with most options including the HK sound system. I live in Florida - roads get really wet and slick this time of year. So the AWD with the V6 was more important than a V8 engine.

You make the point that a lot of people miss or don't know (even though you glaze over it pretty quickly), particularly buying cars at this price point and above for the first time - and that is ordering the car is usually the best option. It isn't a necessity to own an 80K+ car, and you are buying it as a luxury item, and unless your main concern is solely the price of the car (in which case, shopping around for dealer inventory that is long in the tooth or optioned such that it isn't as expensive can be more beneficial), selecting exactly the options you want gives you the best long term outcome overall. It forces you to do more consideration, more research, and it slows the process down from an impulse buy. Note that, though not impossible, it is much harder to get as good as a deal on an ordered car then inventory already on the lot.
My suggestion would be to spec out a car, take that spec into a dealer, discuss it with them, have them spec the car as if you are ordering it, search their inventory and nearby inventory, and if there are no hits - just order the car.
I think in your case you did a lot of this, but once you changed your mind you forgot to rinse and repeat those steps for the redeye. At least most the options you missed are "fixable" (not all options are able to be fitted after purchase - like a sunroof, which I hope you aren't going to try to install aftermarket), even though it might cost a bit more. I think you have the right attitude though - concentrate on the positives and don't get caught up too much on the negatives!
My charger has the alpine system. Loved it! But i put two 12s in my trunk. Never go stock for good music
Glad I saw this before buyingmy hellcat one day glad I got a sunroof but the base speakers in my 392 although the mid and rear muffler deletes are my music😘
I got a indigo blue ‘21 red eye wide body. I ordered it. I got a black interior so I went with the black seat belts and no sun roof. I’m tall so I prefer having more head room. I did however order the upgraded stereo (Harmon Kardon) and glad I did. It rocks!! I live the looks of the original T/A challengers and the mopar T/A stripe, I had the stripes put on because it looked too plain on the side and I had the portion in front of the hood (I got the black hood and hood pin kit) wrapped in black matching the width of the hood. I did it cause it looks for complete and, the cables for the hood pins wanted to rub on the paint. Problem solved and it looks much cooler. I love the car. It’s fun, handles great, drives great and the mileage isn’t actually bad. 22-23 on the highway at 75. Very comfortable ride.
Patience grasshopper. I bought a 2019 TrackHawk and got exactly the build I desired by ordering it from FCA direct. It took 29 days from order until delivery and since I ordered it I got a better deal than buying what they had on the lot. All of the three things you dropped the ball on I ordered in my build as well as many other options. After the model year was over FCA released the yearly build data and it turns out of the 1423 models they built in 2019 69 of them were in my color and of those 69 only 1 was optioned as mine was. MSRP 104k our the door at 92k with every available option for the TH except heated engine block. Patience Grasshopper always wins in the end. Use your life lesson to learn and next time take the slow road and get what you want. I also hope if you did these upgrades after the fact that the car was not leased and it was paid for fully beforehand because that cash you dropped after the fact will never be recoverable.
Can you please elaborate on the performance of the air conditioner inside the hellcat being you live in an area of the country where it gets to be over 100° thank you
It's outstanding. Works just like any modern car should. Ice cold. Now the engine and supercharger does not like the extreme heat and the car chokes a little when starting sometimes when it's super hot out and I drive it hard and then turn it off and back on again when I leave somewhere.

So I have had my hellcat for about 16 months. 2021 redeye with everything except the sunroof and the front hood clips. I tinted the windows and I put PPF on the front third of the car including the mirrors and then I did a 10 year ceramic coat on the entire car. It is a phenomenal vehicle! I intentionally did not order the sunroof, because muscle cars do not have sunroofs. That was my intentional decision, and I do not regret it whatsoever.
I don’t have a Hellcat but still have a 2015 Challenger SXT Plus Pitch Black like yours fully loaded it has all the options it came that year including the Moonroof, Harman Kardon. In my opinion the Harmon sound system is the best I had from all the cars I owned in the past. The only thing I’m missing is the V8 but that can be fixed by installing a Ripp supercharger or Prodigy Twin turbo system and still save gas, insurance, low car payments 😃

All three of those issues wouldn’t have mattered to me, I don’t like sunroofs, and I’d be constantly listening g to the exhaust note... that being said, it was a black 2020 Durango SRT that got me... only I have nearly everything offered except the DVD player and screens.
I went to the dealer in Mongomeryville Pa and ordered it in July 2019 and got it in late Dec 2019,,,got the rear end I wanted and stereo and Red Leather with Black seat Belts ( they would not sell red seat belts with a red leather combo)...Probably the most fun I've ever had in a Car(well maybe not the best fun) But you know what Im saying..the exterior is White with the red leather and I love it!!

I was just looking at a Charger Scatpack, but now I'm really sold on getting the Challenger Hellcat widebody redeye. I'm even thinking of waiting for the new 2020 or 2021 Challenger Hellcat widebody redeye Super Stock. I watched and read that the depreciation of the car happens immediately so I'm really watching that. However, if I wait for next year I can get the 2020 model at a slightly lower price point. I want to thank you for all your content, because its great to see and I'm really paying attention. I'm a business professional so I see the differences between you and others. Thanks buddy.

@@ocmotivator That's right. I know that the tires are made for track use. I really like your set up. The only thing I would do different is probably the racing stripes on the car the carbon flash color. that's it. Other than that I would do the Harmon Kardon stereo and the racing stripes. Car is a beast though, I must say. PS: MY fiance' is like "there's NO backseat room for the baby seat!! I laughed and bought her a Cade ATS...shhh...!
jus chilln ya I want stripes too. Had to ceramic coat it first but may go do stripes soon. And believe it or not the backseat is pretty big. The only pain in the rear is getting the baby in and out with no rear door. I lived that dream with my coupe Mbz years ago.

Just picked up my brand new 2020 challenger scat pack this week. Traded in my SXT that i got new in january. I had got such a good price back then that i had almost 10k of equity for my trade in! Boom 💥 o man the difference so glad i upgraded

About the red seat belts - Seatbelt Planet makes custom ones. You could have red with black stripes if you want. Just let them know and they can do it. Currently getting blue belts with black trim on the edges for mine.

I had the same problem with a sunroof. It's near impossible to find a car without it.
I had my wide body Scat Pack built with exactly everything I wanted. And all black, of course. Any dealer can place the order for you. The only thing I did extra was tint all the windows.
P.s. Don't forget to do the mid muffler delete.
That's similar to me buying my WB scat. The car wasn't even at the dealership yet n I went back n forth with the sales rep taking it. It got to the dealership Friday afternoon. I drove 2 hours away the next morning and finalized the sale by 1030 that morning. Only reason I drove it was because we had to go pick it up from their storage lot. BUT I had a challenger b4 so I guess I knew what I was buying

Can A Bose stereo be put in the hellcat?
I ordered a 2021 Charger Redeye Widebody back in October and finally got it this may. I can live without red seatbelts (and didn't order them); I can damn sure live without the $2000 sunroof (and didn't order it) but I had to have the Harmon Kardon audio. It's not the ultimate sound system but it's good and worth the extra money. But to each his own. I had a 2016 Hellcat Charger before this one; they're similar but two things stand out on the 2021 - the leather seats aren't as comfortable as the microfiber seats in the '16 and the engine has an odd and annoying thumping sound at idle that the '16 didn't have. Performance isn't affected and speaking of, below 5000rpm you won't notice any difference between the '16's 707 and the 21's 797. Above 5000, you will, noticeably so. Traction out of the gate is, of course, still a farce even with the widebody's 305s. Overall I'm quite satisfied with my second Fat Cat.
