      Because the subtraction rule of the upper bound and lower bound is different

    In Exam style question 2
    Part C they asked for the upper bound
    And you calculated the lower bound
    So is this the formula to calculate the opposite? Or you did a mistake

      The terminology in part c) could be seen to be rather confusing.
      What we are trying to find is the 'upper bound' or 'maximum' DIFFERENCE in the weights.
      For this difference in their weights to be maximised, I took the upper bound of Anu's weight and subtracted the lower bound of Zoe's weight.

    hi what happens if it asks to the nearest whole number?? what do we divide with?

      divide with 2 either way. All values should be halved and you get that by dividing it with 2.
