How do you actually know your percentage from mocks or something? Because I only know my grade not even percentile is mentioned anywhere on my IGCSEs giving in Pakistan btw.
Mr. Ginger, could you please post the following topics: 1. Money 2. Interest 3. Percentages 4. Rate and Ratio 5. Measurement 6. Speed-Time and Distance-Time graphs
thank you so much! i have math mock exams tomorrow and ive been delaying learning bounds as much as i could. but you explained it really really good and now i can finally understand it! thank you! 😭😭😭😭
thank you so much mr . Ginger This is so Helpful and i never understood this topic and next wednesday i have my mock exam on math paper 2 u r a life saver Keep up the great work
Hi sir, thank you so much for you videos and all the time and effort you put in for us, I really appreciate it. Would it be possible for you to do a walkthrough of Paper 6 for the 2022 papers?
Outstanding video sir ❤, I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while and I must say that I am really great full I stumbled across your explanation. I also have a question in 6:08 why did you halve the 0.5 and 10? That would be wonderful if I got an answer and if there is a better way for communication please tell me!
i swear this topic is harder and more confusing than whole igcse syllabus. after the day i studied this topic, i forgot almost everything. also roundings are similarly hard for me. i know it looks actually pretty easy and for most of the people it is easiest but for me, it's exactly not. i hope i won't miss a* just because of these type of question because it's sooo confusing (btw my teacher said that i always make mistakes in supereasy questipns especially first questions of ig are generally so easy. but peraonally, i think that studying harder questions instead of basic stuff makes more sense. but i lose marks just because of basic things and this makes me soo sad.
I loooovovoovovvvvvvvvvvvvvveee you soo muchh. I never understood these questions well or got them right until today and im super excited for my math exams tumz, Im sure to smash all lower and upper bound questions which come my way
Sir what if a value is to the nearest significant figure like 2 how do we approach it .I understand that 1 decimal places=0.1 so 1 significant figure will equal what?
If a value is given to the nearest significant figure, it means that only one digit is certain and the other digits are uncertain. For example, if a value is given to one significant figure, it means that only the first digit is certain and the other digits are uncertain. In terms of decimal places, one significant figure is equivalent to one decimal place. So if a value is given to one significant figure, it means that it is accurate to one decimal place. To answer your question specifically, if a value is given to the nearest significant figure of 2, it means that it is accurate to one digit after the decimal point or to the nearest 0.01. This is equivalent to two decimal places.
A quick question, as the amount of people at the footbal match is discrete data, wouldn't you have to take away one from the upper bound? This is what I was taught, so I am just asking whether you must do this or not. Thank you
I'm thrilled you enjoyed the video and took a moment to leave a comment! If you have any suggestions or ideas for future videos, I'm all ears and would love to hear them. Please don't hesitate to send your thoughts over to gingermathematician@gmail.com
Mr. ginger, over here 18:00 , they want the LOWEST number of minutes so he has to choose the lower bound of rate, for all people to leave so the middle number of no of people becz they want ALL people not lower bound of people, why did you choose lower bound of no people and upper bound of rate
Rate describes the number of people that leave per minute. Hence, we would need as high a rate as possible to minimise the time taken for all the people to leave!
Just wanted to say thanks for CARRYING my IGCSE November A* last year!!! Easy 93%
Like how 93% was easy :-)

Thanks Alan, love to see comments like this! :-)
I FINALLY GOT IT. this was most confusing igcse topic for me -after vectors and matrices). Thanks a lot.
No problem e, keep working topic by topic 😊😊
Mr. Ginger, could you please post the following topics:
1. Money
2. Interest
3. Percentages
4. Rate and Ratio
5. Measurement
6. Speed-Time and Distance-Time graphs
I will include 1-3 in one of All of iGCSE Percentage Calculations video 😊👍
@@GingerMathematician I think ratios could be included as well. They are related to the first 3...
Thank you soo much, you wont belie who much this helps, i got an exam and this really helped me understand this!

At 12:40 of the video u could have extended it till 14.5 of the 14 as the highest common factor and so of the other numbers
We do not take the upper bound of the factor itself, we take the upper bound of the formula :-)

11:17 i don't quite get why you're taking 14. Do you mind explaining?
I need the upper bound for f - that is I need the biggest factor of 14 and 28, which is 14 :-)
why isnt the upper bound 28
@@qistinabatrisyia599628 is not a common factor of 14 and 28
