    I’ve been a diyer for a while now and work on many family/friends cars, but I always like to do my homework before each job to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible and I almost always throw 1A auto videos into the mix for torque specs and things I would probably overlook on my own (like removing the cam sensor). Keep them coming 1A and Sue!

    Nice video, but I always check or replace the spark plugs as well, while I have the cover off on where it is necessary to remove the cover to access them. Your videos have been very helpful!
    Maybe you could do more Mazda 6 videos that include all years that the 2009 is the same, depending on specialty vehicles like the Touring model.
    Explaining what the different sensors are for is also very helpful when you come across them, depending which video that you are doing.
    Keep up the nice work, and thank you!! :)

    What about adding petroleum jelly to the gaskets on install? This would also keep them in place when you flip the cover back over to install. And also keep the seals moisturized.

    • @famaniii
      @famaniii 2 года назад

      This is the VVT (variable valve timing) sensor and it was causing a misfire failure for me. It is why I was opening the valve cover in the first place but as it turned out, the cover was leaking in the center gaskets into the sparkplug holes. Did the whole thing in a morning including an oil change (this is recommended when changing the sensor).
