Protip: Disassemble the body parts to general meaty stuff. It's good to have on hand when by an auto-doc to satiate your hunger and then you heal up. Also if you're close to a full stomach, the 10 damage can be regen'd.

Out of curiosity and a desire to be a supporter of indie devs, why did you make this free on Steam? Even just putting this up for like $1 early access would go a ways for me personally knowing your bills are looked after while you develop your game.
@@CanadianWolverine Hi. Our entire team is from Russia and now is a difficult time. We simply cannot technically withdraw any funds from Steam. Therefore, we decided to focus on what we can do better on our own - create a community, develop the project. The plans are to make some big additions for the free version, test them on a live audience, and get investments for a big project, through publishers investors or crowdfunding.
@@quasimorph Sorry to hear about your situation, I definately disagree with how banks/corpos/countries sanctioned Russia it really just make innocent people suffer. This game looks really cool. One question though, will there be a progression system in the near future? Looking forward to playing this game.

I think that inventory tetris is an acceptable middle ground between an overly simplistic "one square per item" and an overly complicated one where exact volume / weight / etc. is taken into account. Too many games use the former, where you can carry 3 flavors of rocket launcher and a stack of 100 rocket reloads at the same time, but not a keycard, a pistol, and 3 different magazines.
So the reason that this game might be free may be in the actual name...
Exordium, the second part of the title translates into: The beginning or introductory part, especially of a discourse or treatise.
Might mean that this is just the first part of a larger game that the devs plan to release, and having the game free for now is just to get as many people on board now so that when a full release happens or an expansion, that they have an audience that's already sold enough on the game to pay for it.
That and the dev said even if he wanted he could not make money with it because of the sanctions

We want to acquaint people with the world of Quasimorphosis and let them see and taste what we have in stock and test some ideas, iterate back and forth based on the feedback we get from the community and then put all that into the next big thing 🙃

Cigarettes bring down that bottom right modifier number, also if you have a knife you can amputate which has never gone well for me lol had an infected chest wound and thought I could amputate the infection... amputated my chest and died. Also not just the walls are destructible, had 2 grenades land in the only hallway leading to the exit and blow out the floor. I had to use that amputate trick on my head to restart
so with a knife you can GUT ya self if shits bad
I had a couple runs limp along a bit longer by amputating infected limbs I definitely didn't have the supplies to cure lol. The PMCs get around pretty good missing a leg!
@@skogib4846 i mean first run had shotgun bro and RNGesus got me with some REALLY bad enemy roles on the second floor as first i was doing just enough to get by but than second floor, first fight had a witch like zombie a gunner WHO THAN riuptured out what ever that spinny critter is i died from another gunner just near by

23:45 Oh yeah, thats the shotgun round that has started more than it's fair share of forest fires here in the Southwest. The most memorable one for me was the guy using it out in the woods on his bachelor party.
Yeah I know someone who claims to have ejected the shell while it was still spewing fire and set his pants, and the pants of those nearby, aflame.
The real name of that round is "dragon breath", btw. They didn't use that in-game for oobvious reasons. Fun stuff
Thanks for showcasing this Splatt, I wouldn't have known of it otherwise. I noticed that the number on the bottom right is kind of like stress and works how chaos(?) does in Skyshines Bedlam, and if you use cigarettes it lowers the number down.

Looks like they took the frigate design from the Sulaco in Aliens.
While traditional roguelikes ain't coming out each and every day anymore I'm glad to see that there's some really high quality ones coming out :)

For some reason this gave me strong (original) Syndicate vibes. It would be awesome if someone does a revamp of the original Syndicate in this exact same format, squad-based, though. And thanks Splatt - I learned about Jupiter Hell from you and I've been having a blast with it!

@@australianandrew128 Thanks. It's a spiritual successor, indeed, not a remake. What I was referring to is a remake. SR is nice, but it has too much depth, compared to Syndicate, and the pace of the missions is vastly different. Quasimorphosis looks like a simpler and more appropriate base for delivering the premise of Syndicate. Unfortunately, I don't have nearly any time for gaming nowadays, so there might be an even more suitable indie title.
funny you said that the bullets exist and hit something, unlike xcom. man one of the reasons i fell in love with xcom old school was exactly this, your misses so etimes took out a wall or cover, something that is mostly missing in modern games
This looks like what DoomRL 2 should of been (IMHO, but I hear Jupiter Hell is actually really good).
For the infection, it is possible they want to to treat wounds realistically and use sorbents preventively, instead of after you get an infection?

Just got a copy (a free one too, yay!) of this game, and I gotta agree with the points raised here: the infection level is confusing to the point where you'll find yourself healing 2x, 3x more times necessary just because you cannot know WHEN TO STOP. The infection just won't heal! And when it does, its so simple to catch it again. Not fair. Also, this SKUL side menu doesn't do anything in regards to the game itself. Hopefully it will develop into something useful. But overall, a great game! Loved it!
Hey, Splat! Love the game. Kinda reminds me of Eschalon, though the setting is comppletely different. About the infection - i think you should use antiseptic always on any wound, as in real life.
I kind of understand his thinking, penicillin f.ex. persists and will deal with any other infections. I got penicillin for a lung infection but it dealt with my tooth infection as well as a bonus down the line.
the ship looks a lot like the Sulaco, from Aliens.

Fire Breath Sounds Awesome for dealing with a Whole rome of Zombies. Saves so much ammo. when you can just burn them out with 1 shot.

One of the main things to remember when running a combat shotgun....feed the puppy. Should always be in a state of topping it off

If you love those inventory tetris games. Take a look at Tarkov. Rare moments of shooty-looty tactical action, interposed with hours of inventory tetris LOL
you should be keeping the clothes you find, aka Project zomboid, so you can tear it up and use it to repair your current armor
I don't think Sorbent takes care of Infection. As it didn't do a thing when you first applied it. IRL it's used against poisoning.
It does, but it just takes 2 turns to have an effect... Thats why his infection went away after he used 2 other items

IMagine having a Light Saber in this game. Or some thing similar Like a High Powered Blow Tourch that you can use as a weapon in game..... Every enemy is light on fire when you hit them..... chances are. when they hit you back. You maybe on fire. xD At least based on what SplatterCat was saying. Edit: on the other hand. You can Remove limbs real easily from zombies. :3

$3.50 is about as high as you can get if you want trading card people to milk your game. If they put out there for 15 bucks. It might be scene as worth it in your eyes but most indie developers aim for that. So throwing out at the lower price might not be a bad strategy to get a lot of quick money coming in
Yeah the RNG is too strong, good luck reaching the second elevator. Be it infection, starvation, or Satan himself springing forth from zombie pulp only for you to miss three slugs in a row in melee, you will never see the third level.

So are these guys actually the devs? I saw two guys claim it, but didn't see any news on their channels, just links, and that's sketch to me. One said I am the dev, the other said I'm one of the devs, and so maybe I'm just being paranoid, and I'll own it if I am, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
