I stopped the video at 0:40 to go get and play the game first. Then I noticed that it is a demo and the full title is coming! Definitely wishlisting it! From playing the demo now, I'd already give it a great score. I love games like these, and it's just so well made, from the game design perspective, spectacular sound design and everything! No surprise, it's using fmod as its sound engine! Now, sound often gets overlooked. Unreal Engine just is so much more famous for the graphics. But if we go there, fmod is pretty high up there as a sound engine! It's adaptive surround sound, and just sounding great!
What blows my mind even more than the gameplay, is trying to comprehend how you even code a game like this. It's so confusing to think about making this work in a game
Well, the zooming effect is just reducing your fov and when you click to teleport I imagine it logs the size of the ball when zoomed and brings you closer on a straight line untill the ball size with normal fov is the same as the zoomed ball we logged
I have to play this my self. When I was learning Unreal, I tried to make a clone of Doom Eternal type of game, but I hated the dashing. So I changed to a more teleport like mechanic where the player turns into a ray of light. It was a hella fun concept when I realized I could add mirrors and glass walls.
Games like these are just something you have to get used to. There are also many people who got sick playing Portal initially. I also felt strange in the beginning, and now it's become second nature. It's crazy how the brain adapts, new sensations just become normal. If I imagine me being new to Portal now watching my Portal playthroughs - jumping there, placing a portal, immediately going there and not even looking around, because I already know from experience, which orientation and where I will come out, it's like a whole different life.
Just keep track of how many times you reflect and don't eat stuff on the wrong side. It might not be too poisonous (by the way, gelatine contains several percents of inverted aminoacids due to how roughly it's treated - and people don't get poisoned from that), but you'll fail to digest proteins (or utilize most of the aminoacids even if you get them separated). Biochemistry has its own score with mirrors
The only thing this game is missing to be perfect for Matt is some bridges. It's got balls galore, shafts for days. The strongest shape is found everywhere. It's like a candy store for him xD
If you did this in real life, lost track of whether you were in the mirror world or not, and stayed in the mirror world, you would die of starvation because your body is built to process D-glucose and cannot process its mirror image L-glucose
Does it count as lying if you do not know how many days it has been and you claim it to be X days while it actually has been X days and you believe X days to be false number of days? 🤔

I love the detail of whenever you reflect off of a mirror, you actually “reflect” (the world gets flipped)
Just came down to the comments to point this out, thank you
I noticed this after his first mirror use. Came down here to make sure i wasnt the only one
It is very trippy just watching. Can't imagine what it's like playing it.
I also saw that on the first mirror use but thought it just made sense 😂

Damn vampire engineers with no reflection.
Honestly makes sense, if he had a reflection he’d smack into himself on the way into the mirror.

He likes when his balls are blue. Mirror balls I mean.

You know a puzzle game is a good puzzle game when your head hurts at the first room
When the game mic drops scrolling down at the end like "oh yeah, there's more to this, but this is the end of the demo"
I'm open to try whatever devs were drinking/smoking/etc while they created the concept of that game.
So, such a good game it has Matt wanting to be pegged... more

And mirroring is the same as rotating in the N+1 dimension
Thanks for finally making a video game on this game i was wanting it so bad
This is crazy, so nice and complicated
would be cool seeing you play turing complete
If you played this in VR you'd be throwing up within five minutes!
There’s actually a game that uses movement like this already called “The under presents” but it’s not sick feeling at all at least to me

Game is very close to Superliminal and its pretty cool
Looks kinda like that first person puzzler, QUBE. Some puzzles in it are quite mind-bending.
The devs must’ve be able to imagine a 4D tesseract if they were able to make this. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were from the 4th dimension (4D).
Given how bad mirrors have been in video games for a looong time, it's kind of impressive to see them being used as a game mechanic
I immediately thought of mirror magic in "Witches Abroad" by Sir Terry Pratchett.

Funny how Matt have inserted his *rods* into 5 different *holes* .
This game would be amazing in VR.
I swear on my puppy Pattie that when Matt said “pause” at 15:13 my video actually paused and I have no explanation for it
You should play the Minecraft mod pack called “sky factory” it is very fun and has a lot of engineering aspects
The most satisfying thing about this video is that it's exactly 20 minutes long
