My little brother passed away from suicide in 2006, he was 19. We played music together, both of us guitarists. I got the job of coming up with the inscription for his headstone. So right under the carving of his Ibanez S-series I had the pre-chorus inscribed, "The rising sun will always speak your name ". I can't play this song or listen to it without getting all twisted up and emotional.

Adam D is a sick rhythm guitarist. He is one of the few guitarists to put together some of the beefiest riffs on a 6 string. Also he's one of the most consistent riff writers who can put together chorded riffs and single note riffs together. Most guitarists either only chord their riffs or only play their riffs in single notes and then play chords for the chorus. While Adam seamlessly goes from single notes to chords.

That's how I like to play as well and I usually get told it's a unique sound
And that's why they are also some of the funniest metalcore songs to play to

After all this time I can finally afford to get decent gear and picking the hobby back up to help with my degrading mental health. Hopefully some day I’ll be able to solo and all that jazz. For now it’s simple riffs and rhythm for me!

I wonder if they make stickers that have tabs on them that show you exactly where to put your fingers and how to play the song sort of like that company neck illusions where you can turn your guitar into anything they print out really cool premium stickers that go on your fretboard and it looks like your neck is custom painted I'm not paid by them to say this I've just bought some for my acoustic and it made a $100 acoustic look like $1,000 acoustic , but surely someone has already thought of sticker tabs I guess you would lay the first part down and learn the first part of the song and then replace them with the next part of the song etc

I'm going to publish a book where the tab strings are flipped upside down and the lines are thicker simulating the strings on your guitar so there's no guessing. For people that's been reading tab forever it probably wouldn't be useful but it would be a game changer for beginners. it's never made any sense to me why tab is upside down I'm sure there's a theory behind it but for the 15 years I've been playing guitar that is one thing that's always bothered me. Because then if you're doing play alongs like this video it would be extremely easier to follow along ,but instead when I'm trying to compare the tab to your fingers I have to flip everything upside down and it's just too much sometimes, I don't read tab often but I know how anyways, don't anyone try to steal my idea is copyrighted ,pending patent lol
