To be honest. I think I'm ok either way. He may have just decided he wants to live his life without dedicating it to making content on youtube. Or maybe he rly planning something big and will return one day. Either way, it's fine by me. It's his life. The fact that we even have this video series is enough for me, as I still consider this the best retrospective that I've seen so far for the gothic series, and probably one of the best game retrospective series in general that I've ever seen.
I think the conclusion we must reach is that Durmin uses this channel to upload stuff to show his friends and he forgot to private the last one. A bit disappointed he isn't coming back but happy to know he's alive.

Hi Durmin Paradox. It's too bad that you stopped doing the video, but I'm not talking about that. I watch whole your's Gothic video series. I'm very glad that you could see how wonderful it is. Unfortunately, almost no one heard of the redistribution of Germany, Poland and Russia about the game. Gothic - my first RPG and serius game. I bit this game for the first time when I did not start to go to school and could not read. I want to thank you for your objective review. You have dispelled many nostalgic doubts. You fell in love with the game just as I saw all its flaws and at the same time - the uniqueness. Now I'm sure that Gothic is not just my childhood. This is really a well-deserved masterpiece.
Good old games that you may find interesting: Severance: Blade of Darkness (considered a predecessor of the souls series), Arx Fatalis (from Arkane, the guys from Dishonored).
+CESSKAR Played Blade of Darkness when it came out (probably i bought a magazine with the game attached) will check Arx Fatalis out sometime in the future, the only arkane game i haven't played yet.
+Durmin Paradox But i need to warning you, this game is kind like a Gothic 3. You gona find lots of potencital but mostly wastet, a meele combat is little bit better that Morrowind( a bit).
+Durmin Paradox Arx is amazing. By far Arkane's best game, although the melee combat system in Dark Messiah in still unmatched imho (yep, better than Dark Souls, better than Gothic 2, better than what I've played of Bloodborne). Too bad almost everything else about Dark Messiah completely sucks.
urbium The magic in Arx Fatalis is so unique that the system in Dark Messiah looks like shit. It is not bad, just generic. Just like the stealth. And the story wasn't bad either. I mean, it wasn't horrendous.

I am trying to play Forsaken Gods nowadays and it hurt so much that I came back and watched this. And it's still awesome. I think I'm just gonna go "Test mode: true" and get it over with this time. Amazingly dramatic ending to the video btw. Loved it. Made me wanna go play 1 and 2 again.
+DerMichiYC For Risen 1 watch the Gothic 2 video again :D. Risen 1 = Gothic 2 lite version (in some few aspects I liked it even more than G2 - magic system for instance). R2 & 3 don't have much in common with R1 gameplay wise, so I prefer to think of them as different games.
I like Risen but it is poorly designed game in many aspects. My Mage with Sword was much better fighter than my Warrior of the Order. It makes clear that Mage is just better version of Inquisition. All locations are expy of previous places. Lets play the game mention one element from Risen and then try to guess in which Gothic it showed up first. But the best thing about this game are the spells and their use in exploration. It is fresh concept and it is done very well.
Yes, except no... not really. Risen 1 is the only good one and it is repeat of plotlines from Gothic 1 and 2. New stuff however are huge improvement over Gothic 3. + everything after chapter 1 is really weak.

Some people on reddit have suggested that giving more valid points or arguments about what you dislike would improve the quality of your videos. I hope you do Gothic 4! I played that at release thinking it would improve Gothic 3 but it was a kick in the nuts.

Lazereye57 Gothic's successor is Risen. Many say that it's shit or mediocre, but to me it's a gem of a game. Everything I liked in Gothic is there - the living world, the societies and the satisfying quests. Once again I felt like I lived in the world created by Piranha Bytes. These people are geniuses but their games will always be semi-broken.
actually i liked gothic 3 with the community patch, the quest pakage and the consequences mod. It is not really a gothic title and if you dont expect it to be like Gothic 1 or 2 it is a pretty good enjoyable game, made more fun than the TES games.
The Real CHIM Shady True...But they did take out the Gothic title later on. Thats why, because its no longer labeled as Gothic 4, if it is still, then your right, but honestly piranha bites themselves haven't made it clear on if its a Gothic game or spin off officially now.

You should do the secret extra mission on Gothic 1! It's the best mission in the entire game, I was blown away when I first heared about it since I played the game a 1000 times before without knowing of the existence of it. (Only the end of it is...well let's say it's a bit disapointing :D)

Yeah, the developers of gothic have been through many transitions. I'm gonna explain briefly (cuz i'm too lazy). It started from 2 people, then they hired more people, they became a studio.. (piranha bytes) they've made a few games that were not quite succesful so they joined with another studio. (jowood) and then shit happened that i did not understand they fell apart, some of the studios bankrupted.. and they had reached their deadline they released a game which they fucked up. Still in poland we love we absolutely love gothic. And yes, you are right, i would end the whole gothic story on the ending of gothic 2. Gothic 2 NOTR is my favorite game of all time. And since i am only 16 years old.. you might think i am stupid but yeah, whatever. Sorry for all the mistakes i've made in this brief paragraph, english is not my first language + i'm too lazy to read over what i read. So i won't correct any mistakes. bye

Still in poland we love we absolutely love gothic. And yes, you are right, i would end the whole gothic story on the ending of gothic 2. Gothic 2 NOTR is my favorite game of all time. And since i am only 16 years old.. you might think i am stupid but yeah, whatever.
