    what you can do is to extrude the surfaces and the profiles to be able to run boolean difference instead of trim. Then you can subtract the profile from all the surfaces and then you dont need to trim each surface manually. If you want it 2D afterwards you just run make2d

    @Cafier If we offset the surfacesabd boolean them, we'll cut the surfaces in many small pieces, in order for the pieces to remain as a whole and string enough so they don't break, the notches are placed half way of each intersection. In a way because of the form of the object makes every intersection unique. What you could do is make the notches for let's say x and then offset the x surfaces and use them to boolean the y surfaces so you don't repeat the process twice

    @cafier this requires to either cut the x notches in place (perspective mode) or lay them flat and then put them back on its original place.

    Hey nice tutorial...question:
    Why not just offset the xy surfaces to the material thickness then Boolean difference them instead of manually profiling the notches? curious

    why when i move the surface, the intersections would not be with the surface
