- Just listen to this insane 2003 Subaru Impreza STi making some pulls on the mustang dyno at J-Spec Performance! The engine has been built by ABperformance and it features a Precision 60/62 turbo, 2.1 stroker kit, Process West intake manifold and Tomei Expreme Ti Titanium exhaust! Make sure to turn up your speakers because this thing sounds nuts!

It's insane that this car is making this much power. It probably makes closer to 1000 hp at the crank due to drivetrain power loss meaning it's making 475 hp PER LITER. That's nuts even with a turbo.
It does seem that it "only" makes around the 800 BHP on the first run. The computer already calculates the drivetrain loss and such. So the 805 BHP is at the crank. Probably 650-700 HP at the wheels.
+VIZIN are you dumb lol, dyno numbers are what the car puts out at the wheels. Not crank hp
russianguns 1226 Depends on the setup. Dynos can calculate the losses and either show crank or wheel HP. In this case, the computer says "engine HP"
800AWHP = around 960HP at the crank. 20% of power is lost in the stock AWD driveline. But... If everything has solid bushings/mounts with beefed up driveshaft & C/V, the AWD parasitic loss can be greatly reduced. This car has the works and is probably seeing around a ~10% difference in HP to AWHP, so about 900HP / 1110Tq at the crank.

Linear? It doesn't even make full boost until nearly 6400 RPM and is barely spooling at 4600rpm. It has barely a 2k usable power band.
6062.. 800whp @ 29psi.. a 6870 on a 2L evo takes 45-50psi to make 800whp infact how does a 62mm make it to 800whp on a mustang dyno...

Scott JJ Soren Scott JJ Soren its engine HP, i watched the whole video when i initially saw the title i thought it couldnt be right with a 6062 and 800whp, since ive only made 660whp on 36psi on my old SR20vet, it says on the screen 800 engine HP, they mustve calculated drivetrain losses check at 2.08 seconds on the clip, its very confusing to see engine HP on a roller dyno, id much rather know what it puts to the wheels anyway, id say around 600whp

I must say, between the air oil separator lines, fuel lines, oil lines, and vacuum lines these cars’ engine bays can turn ugly really quick. This however is the prettiest and cleanest Subaru engine bay I have ever seen. Love the attention to detail.

Wow! What a car. Why does he blip the throttle after the hard pulls? Is it something to do with maintaining a desired air/fuel? Asking because I had a modified Bugeye with TGV deletes, when I would let off the throttle my AFR would go through the roof.. Is this something involved with that, or am I entirely wrong?
I think to get air into the engine to cool it down after a hard pull. Just my thought
