I just traded in a driving iron and hybrid for a Paradym X 7 wood and I love it. I loved the idea of a driving iron more than the results, couldn't hit the hybrid at all, and at the end of the day whatever works for you is best for you. Rock it without shame 🤘
I 100% agree about turf interaction. That is why I use ZX7 mk2.

Just bought the Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi at 16.5 degrees, absolutely love it. Like you were saying about having a hybrid shaft, the Mizuno comes with the Aerotech Steelfiber shaft which makes a significant difference. Would love to see a comparison.....great video James, as usual!
I’ll stick with my PXG 7 wood. Driving irons are too scary for me. 😮 My irons stop at the 5 iron.

I tried this yesterday - but i had mine lofted to 21deg. Paired it with the Accra iseries80.
It's an incredible club! Hitting it off the tee is easy - but it can also be used off the turf.
I couldn't use it in the simulator - but on the course, it's incredible!

I like that the PXG offerings this year all seem to blend. The blade, the cavity back, the hollow body, all have a similar appearance and this X looks very much like them.
Just bought the 0211 irons cant waitbto getbthem on the course and give them a hit. Was looking at that long iron as well. Im not very good with hybrids.

Based on how you were hitting those overall, I think it's safe to say it's not going in your bag. I have a King Cobra driving iron and it's great when I hit it well but there's more to be desired in the consistency department.
James, I am playing 0317T's 4-pw and love them. Just curious as to the loft of the driving Iron. Used to play Ping I2's and could never hit my 2-Iron. Maybe it is time to try with long irons again. As an aside, My favorite aunt is from Clayton West (which I believe is very close to Wolly Park). I play Reunion twice a year etc but have never played back home. Would love to play with you and Chris if I can finagle a trip back home

You are my daily go to on club reviews and love the mix of content, keep up the good work James. However, will be sticking with my P790 Udi, with graphite shaft it’s a bullet on my good days, but goes into the naughty bag if it misbehaves 😂. Cannot wait for the season to kick in
Can you show the club from the heel so us duffers can see the amount of offset,
If you want consistency, work on your swing. Not one club ever made has been the factor if a golf shot is good.

I’d say that you seemed very inconsistent with that club. I saw one that was carry 175, full 200, and if someone as good as you hits it inconsistently, how would us mere mortals do?? I used to be a good long iron player in my 20s / early 30s (including 1 & 2 irons), but now I’m in my 50s I just don’t generate the club head speed for long irons anymore, but hybrids are great!

@@juasauga80 brilliant isn’t it. Got the 3 iron. Hit it once and was like oooook. 🤣. Got rid of my 3 wood and use the 2 iron. Doesn’t go as far. But 9/10 it goes nearly as far. 3 wood was gathering dust.
@DannyBoy-jy1kq I've got the tsi3 3 wood in a tensei white which is a bullet maker as well. I prefer the 3 wood. I find it more versatile for me. But when the wind is strong the 2 iron is coming out.
@@juasauga80 yeah would love to be able to hit a 3 wood right every time. But find the 2 iron a lot easier. So I sacrifice 10/20 yards. Better than sacrificing 200 🤣
I’ve had this club in bag for about 3 weeks now and it’s a cannon. I put a Tour AD graphite shaft in. It’s 18 degrees of firepower. It’s replaced my 5 iron and it launches incredibly easy. Ball has been sticking to greens like glue as well. If the deck super easy to hit. On tee box off of a tee it’s a tomahawk Incred club. Good review. 👍

I thought Lee Trevino said even God could not hit a one iron. He spoke from experience, God tried, but the lightning bolt hit Lee - not the iron. 😂
If you hit it so inconsistently most amateurs have no chance, a hybrid is designed for ease of use as is a 7 wood, doesnt look bagable to me
im off 30 - never tried a driving iron. puts fear of god into me
Don't have any fear when swinging any club. Fear affects the bio-mechanics of the way your body moves and at what tempo it moves at. Just go after the ball like it owes you money.

@JamesRobinsonGolf you're making money by being able to show the product.....for free....through the video you make. C'mon lol. Ever hear the phrase...'nothing is ever free'. These companies aren't sending out free golf clubs that would normally sell for $400 and up for nothing. They are getting content creators to put their products into people's consciousness. They recoup the money lost from sending out free clubs 10 fold. And you have content to be viewed etc etc. Again it's fine to do something to make money. No problem. But to say you aren't selling something is absolutely ridiculous.
