The main difference with B1A4 vis a vis dance, is that when B1A4 debuted the Infinite style 'knife-dance' was becoming very popular, and WM Entertainment made a deliberate choice to go against that and focus more of energy and interaction on stage rather than complex choreo and sharp movements. (Also, when B1A4 were in training their company was in a crappy building and the basement dance practice room flooded. They had to practice dance under streetlights or in the cafeteria) So ONF has had a focus on dance to a degree that BiPo never bothered with! :D Definitely watch ON/OFF and Complete if you want the storyline! The main things to keep an eye out for as far as through-lines is the barcodes (identify androids!), duplicates/different versions of people, flashbacks and time travel elements, old and destroyed technology and infrastructure, people disappearing and reappearing, the meteors, and the members always searching for each other and trying to rejoin. :D Their b-sides are all tremendous also! And most of them have some kind of self-cam mv or performance mv. Cats Waltz is SO cute, and so are Fly Me To The Moon and Incomplete! Highly recommend
Excellent B-side recommendations! I also want to add Ice and Fire, which was actually composed by Woodz (Cho Seungyoun from Uniq/X1/Luizy) along with Monotree, their primary composer. Ice and Fire is one of my standout songs I've ever heard. Also Moscow Moscow - just so ethereal and perfect.
i am back to annoyingly share my thoughts lol I've been SUPER impressed by the budget on ONF's videos. They've been so high quality and complex in its lore since debut which is interesting since they debuted in 2017, before Oh My Girl was racking in money to WM Ent. I don't know why things weren't working out for them, but I'm glad RTK gave them some recognition. 'Why' is my current fav kpop song and I listen to it like 5x a day haha
as someone who is still pretty confused on the storyline myself, what i am pretty sure on is this: first all of the members are androids (the barcode tattoos on their necks), the box you see in the why mv is kinda like a pandora's box and when it's opened it unleashes the apocalypse, you see the same meteors in the sky for each of their mvs which indicates there's some form of time travel (you can also see this in the why mv with two different hyojins, one with red hair and one with black and white hair), the mvs are not in sequential order and i'm not entirely sure on the actual timeline. these are just some of the key points of their universe and to really sum it all up the members are trying to prevent the apocalypse

They said the mvs sequence by storyline order are: on/off, wml, why, complete... and now we got new world i think it's between why and complete as it is the continuation of why (when they finally found the key and opened the pandora box to get into the new world). So basically onf have 2 version of themselves: human and android (with barcode on the neck). They have conflicts going on whether they will life together as androids or humans. The basic pattern of their mvs are basically searching for each others thru time travelling in multiverse, sending signals, and losing memories...
On/off mv kinda introducing the apocalypse world and their android life (there's seems to be a lab experiment going on). Complete tells about them having fun on earth and the most 'human' things they can be. In WML they were trying to find each other by time travel thru another dimension and apparently lost their maknae. Why is the most complex and hard to understand coz lots of things going on but basically they were searching for the keys to open the pandora box and the conflict between human vs android were more intense here. FYI the one inside the tube is Wyatt and he is also the shirtless ones with cyborg thingy on his back and since WML he always ride motorcycle as i belive it's his tools to get thru the portal of another dimention as other members also have their own tools and roles for example J-Us is a hacker with his laptop and E-tion is a detective with his futuristic watch (if you pay attention to his watch there's 'detective' word in it and some coordinates)...
I advise you to watch their signal episodes for why mv it's like individual teasers that tell each members' world views. They also released cryptic teasers with bunch of codes, receipts, and clues it was really cool but really hard to decipher lol. For example they have receipt for each members and it has path prediction codes that tells the member check points in every places they went in chronological order (one cool things that they always shoots in different countries mostly at abandoned places such as Berlin, Zurich, Paris, Moscow for only Why mv!) so it's kinda tell the chronological event going on in their super complex world lmao... I'm sorry for this long ass explaination idk if it's clear enough or more confusing i will ended up writing a novel if i continue this and it's not even include everything 😂 so yeah Fuses always in constant conFuseion.

As a baby fuse myself I can't help you out on the ONF lore lmfao but what I can say is I think you guys (Anna especially) will enjoy MonoTree's session videos on ONF! Basically all of ONF's songs are by the studio MonoTree and they have vids on their channel (eng subbed) breaking down the music production ideas for ONF's title songs. I'm sure it'll answer some of Anna's questions haha
My chronological way of understanding ONF MV Complete Me- (Before the destruction) ON/OFF- (All members became a droid[with barcodes]) All of their identities are deleted Laun gets really curious of his identity because of the girl astronaut who visited (he even tried to introduce himself using a Polaroid) so that makes him plugging in his main-chip(Android's heart pfft) and passed out. All the members tried to find clues becaus around the wrecked place because of Laun but they were distracted by the things around them. WE MUST LOVE (Laun disappears) Laun's curiosity grew even bigger that made him teleport to different time. The members searched for him but they only have a limited time. J-us is the one who tracks Laun but it only leads him into danger, U is controlling the time, MK witnessed the destruction, Hyojin and E-tion almost find Laun (with dementia lol) but they disappeared. WHY- (Laun already disappeared literally) Because of travelling in different dimensions each of them left some clone droid.
YAAAAS, APPRECIATION FOR MY TALENTED TALENTED BOYS. I'm so glad you liked them. ^^ As for their MVs, all of them appear to be connected and feed into each other chronologically. So their debut ON/OFF comes first, then Complete, then We Must Love, then Why. The story is kind of difficult to parse out in places and it's really up to interpretation, but it seems like at least some of the members are androids or clones (particularly the ones with barcode tattoos on their necks, aka Hyojin and Laun, ONF's former maknae who left the group in August of 2019 for undisclosed reasons and who we all miss dearly every day TT TT), and that the Earth is partially destroyed (hence why so many places in all their MVs seem desolate or run-down) and either mostly uninhabitable with most people living on space colonies/terraformed moons and planets a la Cowboy Bebop, or with civilization only surviving in some areas on Earth. Time travel/alternate dimensions may also be involved to some extent, it's kind of unclear still. We're just going to have to wait and see how the story unfolds in future comebacks to get the full picture, especially since Laun leaving the group kinda upset the apple cart storyline-wise, as he was the one they were all trying to find in We Must Love and kept disappearing. And now they'll never find him. ;_;

Old fuse had guessed about the storyline, but it's quite hard to explain. Well I will try: so all the member aren't human, that's why their have bar code. The world had been destroyed. Laun, he wears two different cloth, one is the green one and the other one is the white one. One represent the Laun that is still on the earth (past Laun) and the one have the watch is the robot Laun. So in the MV, you can see all the member want a to find him, U is the one who stays and helps them to notice the time, other member went back to the old earth and find Laun, but due to the time limit, they will have to go back to the future.....hummm the storyline is kind of like this, and they kept missing each other, and this match the song ”we must love” which a sense of density vibe
I'm a FUSE since Road to Kingdom and I've watched all of their MVs already for like a thousand times but I don't understand the storyline. I want to help Anna to find out what instrument was that (in Why) 'cause when I first heard it, I wanna know as well but at that time I was lazy to know what is it LOL So I searched for the instrumental to listen and I found out that they have official instrumentals of 5 of their songs (ON/OFF, Complete, We Must Love, Moscow Moscow and Why) uploaded in their channel. They started uploading these official instrumentals last Jan 6, 2020 and week after week, they'll upload a different song instrumental. What's interesting is the instrumentals weren't released in song release order, I saw a comment that the order of releases is the order of the storyline. There is also a word shown in every intrumental... Intrumental order + Word for each upload: ON/OFF - Signal We Must Love - We Must Why - Chaos Complete - Moment Moscow Moscow - Connect Maybe it's something related to the storyline. There is also a snippet of a different song in the end of the Moscow Moscow Inst video for a few seconds. Some people said in the comments that it is New World but I don't hear the similarities of the snippet and New World LOL I only wanna help Anna about the instument used in Why, but I ended up discovering these things... And yeah, I still don't know what instrument is that 😂😂😂

Ahhh it's great to see you react to these music videos and I'm glad you enjoyed them! This is going to be long (apologies!) but I'm going to explain both of these music videos as best as I can. In terms of storyline- ONF have confirmed that all their music videos are connected by a storyline that involves the members (maybe only some of them, maybe all of them?) as androids and a search (in some of the music videos) for Pandora's Box. Besides that, they really haven't explained any connections between them, but there are a lot of images that appear in all of their music videos, like the comets and the fact that Hyojin's hair is almost always red and that J-Us is always a hacker, etc. The original storyline of a lot of their videos was basically them searching for Luan in various ways, which seems to be most of what goes on in We Must Love. For me, it's always seemed like they're time traveling in search of Luan in WML but aren't able to find him until the very end of the video, where E-tion and Hyojin both find him (in the train station and in the black and white street scene) but because J-Us (who seems to be the one controlling the time travel) is arrested, they're unable to actually talk to Luan. As a storyline, Why is a bit more convoluted because Luan left the group before this song. This is mostly personal opinion and guesses, but because of a couple scenes in WML it's confirmed that there are alternate universes in the storyline (when J-Us is looking at Luan's profile it says universe 01 as his location, etc.) so I think that this is an alternate universe version of almost all of the members. We get Hyojin with two different hair colors (red and then black/white) in the video and J-Us with two different stylings (the denim jacket vs the rainbow-striped shirt) so I'm pretty sure there are Universe 01 versions of both Hyojin (red hair) and J-Us (denim jacket) in the video but Universe (who knows?? I guess 02) versions of all of the members (Hyojin with the black/white hair, Seungjoon with the rainbow-striped shirt). I've always thought that due to mishaps with the time travel from WML, Hyojin ends up in a different universe and J-Us goes looking for him. Universe 01 Hyojin wanders around throughout the video and seems to find places that the Universe 02 members of the group have been/were important to them. In terms of the storyline of the Universe 02 versions of ONF, they're searching for Pandora's Box (hence the keys) and the android theme is back, but it seems as though a lot of the members have had falling outs and don't really talk to each other anymore. J-Us seems to be against opening Pandora's Box, while the rest of the members look for the keys or struggle over what to do with them (Wyatt throws the one he has away at one point). Eventually, MK finds a key and opens Pandora's Box, which seems to result in Hyojin becoming an android (through the ending scene) and a city being destroyed. Again, a lot of this is just my thoughts on the music videos and there are a lot of different theories floating around. It's even up to debate still if the music videos occur in the order that they were released, so there's a lot of unknowns, which create a lot of really different and cool theories from fuses! Their music videos are always so high quality, though, and they're such a joy to watch.

For example they have receipt for each members and it has path prediction codes that tells the member check points in every places they went in chronological order (one cool things that they always shoots in different countries mostly at abandoned places such as Berlin, Zurich, Paris, Moscow for only Why mv!) so it's kinda tell the chronological event going on in their super complex world lmao... As a baby fuse myself I can't help you out on the ONF lore lmfao but what I can say is I think you guys (Anna especially) will enjoy MonoTree's session videos on ONF! Basically all of ONF's songs are by the studio MonoTree and they have vids on their channel (eng subbed) breaking down the music production ideas for ONF's title songs. I'm sure it'll answer some of Anna's questions haha

My chronological way of understanding ONF MV
Complete Me- (Before the destruction)
ON/OFF- (All members became a droid[with barcodes]) All of their identities are deleted
Laun gets really curious of his identity because of the girl astronaut who visited (he even tried to introduce himself using a Polaroid) so that makes him plugging in his main-chip(Android's heart pfft) and passed out. All the members tried to find clues becaus around the wrecked place because of Laun but they were distracted by the things around them.
WE MUST LOVE (Laun disappears)
Laun's curiosity grew even bigger that made him teleport to different time.
The members searched for him but they only have a limited time. J-us is the one who tracks Laun but it only leads him into danger, U is controlling the time, MK witnessed the destruction, Hyojin and E-tion almost find Laun (with dementia lol) but they disappeared.
WHY- (Laun already disappeared literally)
Because of travelling in different dimensions each of them left some clone droid.

YAAAAS, APPRECIATION FOR MY TALENTED TALENTED BOYS. I'm so glad you liked them. ^^ As for their MVs, all of them appear to be connected and feed into each other chronologically. So their debut ON/OFF comes first, then Complete, then We Must Love, then Why. The story is kind of difficult to parse out in places and it's really up to interpretation, but it seems like at least some of the members are androids or clones (particularly the ones with barcode tattoos on their necks, aka Hyojin and Laun, ONF's former maknae who left the group in August of 2019 for undisclosed reasons and who we all miss dearly every day TT TT), and that the Earth is partially destroyed (hence why so many places in all their MVs seem desolate or run-down) and either mostly uninhabitable with most people living on space colonies/terraformed moons and planets a la Cowboy Bebop, or with civilization only surviving in some areas on Earth. Time travel/alternate dimensions may also be involved to some extent, it's kind of unclear still. We're just going to have to wait and see how the story unfolds in future comebacks to get the full picture, especially since Laun leaving the group kinda upset the apple cart storyline-wise, as he was the one they were all trying to find in We Must Love and kept disappearing. And now they'll never find him. ;_;

(edit) What we do know is the story is carried from their debut MV ON/OFF through all 3 MVs after (Complete, WML & Why). We know that they are androids and humans (aka why you see 2 versions of all the members in Why). There are lots of theories on Twitter about these MVs but no real answers

Old fuse had guessed about the storyline, but it's quite hard to explain. Well I will try: so all the member aren't human, that's why their have bar code. The world had been destroyed. Laun, he wears two different cloth, one is the green one and the other one is the white one. One represent the Laun that is still on the earth (past Laun) and the one have the watch is the robot Laun. So in the MV, you can see all the member want a to find him, U is the one who stays and helps them to notice the time, other member went back to the old earth and find Laun, but due to the time limit, they will have to go back to the future.....hummm the storyline is kind of like this, and they kept missing each other, and this match the song ”we must love” which a sense of density vibe
And what I said above is the storyline until we must love, because Laun left so we believe they kind of change a bit

I'm a FUSE since Road to Kingdom and I've watched all of their MVs already for like a thousand times but I don't understand the storyline.
I want to help Anna to find out what instrument was that (in Why) 'cause when I first heard it, I wanna know as well but at that time I was lazy to know what is it LOL
So I searched for the instrumental to listen and I found out that they have official instrumentals of 5 of their songs (ON/OFF, Complete, We Must Love, Moscow Moscow and Why) uploaded in their channel.
They started uploading these official instrumentals last Jan 6, 2020 and week after week, they'll upload a different song instrumental.
What's interesting is the instrumentals weren't released in song release order, I saw a comment that the order of releases is the order of the storyline. There is also a word shown in every intrumental...

Ahhh it's great to see you react to these music videos and I'm glad you enjoyed them! This is going to be long (apologies!) but I'm going to explain both of these music videos as best as I can.
In terms of storyline- ONF have confirmed that all their music videos are connected by a storyline that involves the members (maybe only some of them, maybe all of them?) as androids and a search (in some of the music videos) for Pandora's Box. Besides that, they really haven't explained any connections between them, but there are a lot of images that appear in all of their music videos, like the comets and the fact that Hyojin's hair is almost always red and that J-Us is always a hacker, etc.
The original storyline of a lot of their videos was basically them searching for Luan in various ways, which seems to be most of what goes on in We Must Love. For me, it's always seemed like they're time traveling in search of Luan in WML but aren't able to find him until the very end of the video, where E-tion and Hyojin both find him (in the train station and in the black and white street scene) but because J-Us (who seems to be the one controlling the time travel) is arrested, they're unable to actually talk to Luan.
As a storyline, Why is a bit more convoluted because Luan left the group before this song. This is mostly personal opinion and guesses, but because of a couple scenes in WML it's confirmed that there are alternate universes in the storyline (when J-Us is looking at Luan's profile it says universe 01 as his location, etc.) so I think that this is an alternate universe version of almost all of the members. We get Hyojin with two different hair colors (red and then black/white) in the video and J-Us with two different stylings (the denim jacket vs the rainbow-striped shirt) so I'm pretty sure there are Universe 01 versions of both Hyojin (red hair) and J-Us (denim jacket) in the video but Universe (who knows?? I guess 02) versions of all of the members (Hyojin with the black/white hair, Seungjoon with the rainbow-striped shirt). I've always thought that due to mishaps with the time travel from WML, Hyojin ends up in a different universe and J-Us goes looking for him. Universe 01 Hyojin wanders around throughout the video and seems to find places that the Universe 02 members of the group have been/were important to them. In terms of the storyline of the Universe 02 versions of ONF, they're searching for Pandora's Box (hence the keys) and the android theme is back, but it seems as though a lot of the members have had falling outs and don't really talk to each other anymore. J-Us seems to be against opening Pandora's Box, while the rest of the members look for the keys or struggle over what to do with them (Wyatt throws the one he has away at one point). Eventually, MK finds a key and opens Pandora's Box, which seems to result in Hyojin becoming an android (through the ending scene) and a city being destroyed.
Again, a lot of this is just my thoughts on the music videos and there are a lot of different theories floating around. It's even up to debate still if the music videos occur in the order that they were released, so there's a lot of unknowns, which create a lot of really different and cool theories from fuses! Their music videos are always so high quality, though, and they're such a joy to watch.

The producer will describe the song elements in the channel, I really suggest people who understand Korean to watch it, so far they did it for ”we must love”, ”complete” and ”why”.
I might mix it with complete lol, but it been a while, if you are curious with the song, it is a very good way to understand the song, they also did the songs in RTK, too!
