I used to deep clean my rc's after each run, then less and less each time. Now it's been about a year since I've really cleaned any of them. Just a quick hose down if ran in mud, and maybe a shot or 2 of spay lube. Even my drift car is filthy inside. All still going strong. Full time job and small children, ain't nobody got time for that. 👍👍
I love these FTX’s, (RGT’s) here in the US. They are absolutely underrated , but are actually big hitters as far as I’m concerned. Even their entry level rigs , with their great price tag, still surprise me at their capabilities! Great video Phil!👍🏻😃
That zip line is hilarious!!!!!!!!!! 😂 And yes FTX are really hitting the mark these days. Although my bro in-law managed to break my Geo when we had a bit of family silliness on Glynde Gap beach last time I was over there. 2 middle aged (70-ish) men and 2 middle aged ladies driving RC 4x4s while seated in camping chairs! He was going as fast as possible all the time accross the stony beach! Nutter! I'm glad I didn't introduce him to the MT 10 !!!!!!!!! Maybe next time as he's just had an operation. The GEO's plastic transfer shaft stretched open and popped off the drive pin. I guessed I couldn't expand it again to put it back together without damaging it more. So now it has an all metal replacement.
Hi Phil FTX are producing brilliant truck's. Good looking well made and great value. Thanks for sharing these trucks with us Sir. Have a great weekend Phil 🇬🇧✌🏼
I had and sold an FTX outback, it was superb. og steering servo crapped out in a week and everything else was fine apart from when I put a lipo in and the extended run time caused it to overheat so bad I had to run water on it to cool it down as it was melting connecting bits! It still worked fine after it dried out
Awesome Phil, the Fury smashed it and what a lovely track, im loving my black fury 2.0 but lots of changes already best one was a 1080 esc and better tyres (showdowns)
I have the previous version, the RGT EX86100 Pro, which I guess is the upgraded version (carbon fibre and all metal) as well (Just over 200 bucks on Banggod, plus shipping). It's been doing really well so far. Crawling performance is decent out of the box, and the quality seems excellent. Nothing broken so far. Ran it with an ISDT ESC70 and a 27t 550 motor first, but have changed it out to a cheap-ish, sensored brushless setup now, and geared it down. Plenty of power and speed. The only issue I've had is with the spur gear in the gearbox. Being plastic it didn't last very long, and I ended up replacing it with a metal one. Something to be aware of, if they still rund plastic spur gear. With everything metal it sorely needed thread lock as well, as RGT hadn't used any, anywhere on the truck. It has really nice shocks, pretty darn good tires for stock and decent weight. I'm expecting you'll be quite happy with it.
@@tomley_rc I hope that's one of the things they upgraded. I was a bit dissapointed when I opened the gearbox on my Pro, where everything else is metal or cf upgraded, and the one thing they hadn't upgraded was the spur. I'd rather have plastic shock towers and a metal spur gear. Wasn't very expensive on AliExpress though, and only took 2-3 weeks to arrive. :p

I've been running my geo like this for a year. It's a beast. Absolutely loving ftx
Yes, the GEO is such a good crawler. The 550 front mounted set up is killer
@@tomley_rc and I have the paso, again another awesome truck.
The man. The myth. The legend.
It's Tomley!

The Zipline is so fun haha. Never too old for some crazy full throttle action haha
It looks like a great truck, and a really good testing track. It will be interesting to see how it all goes!
Yes, I'm interested to see how long it lasts

Thanks Mike. You too 🎖

I really enjoyed that style of video. I could watch more of that 👍🏻
Fantastic testing, Phil! 😃
That's a crazy little jeep!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Cheers dude :)
Excellent video. Awesome purpose built crawler site, I need to visit again 👍😁
Yes, it's such a cool place
We ordered this crawler for my son after seeing in on your channel it’s such a capable crawler
Nice! Such a good crawler to get started with
@@tomley_rc we are going to upgrade the esc to hw 1080 to make it even better the ftx crawlers are so under rated they are great crawlers
Great run . It’s definitely crawler season now 👍
Certainly is!
off road adventure i like it!
Awesome footage buddy 😁👍
Awesome crawler course 😎
Hi,

No comment... ha. Ftx make very good value for money rc's. John

1080 and tyres make a huge difference. Although the stock tyres are pretty good on this
Just got one on black and they do look good, does yours lean to the left at all ?
@@imray100 it did lean to left but after stripping shocks and carefully rebuilding them using green slime grease and thicker oil seems to be sorted
@@rctraildriversuk-lone-wolfvide thanks , what weight oil did you use cant find any mention of it anywhere
@@imray100 think its 700cst

I'm not sure if it's metal or plastic... it's pretty loud, so maybe metal

@@tomley_rc Also, should I really message you on Telegram? If so, what do I win? 🤣
Wow...che bel tracciato...ma questo scaler è un RGT ???....bel video... ciao dall'Italia
Nice one Phil. Do you have a link to the crawler site that you are on please? It looks like a decent course...... cheers.
It's in the description now mate. Spring Woods RC (Nottingham)
Cool
Crawlers are seemingly like Tamiya RCs insofar as being most popular with men of a certain age!
Yes haha
Is this all stock electronics if so it’s rowdy and I love it awesome looking rig for the price 🤔 🔥🔥😎👍
100% stock out the box
Gob smacked..👍🇬🇧😎
Dare I say it... the Fury 2.0 looked like it got up some of that course easier than the flagship Outback Tracker did...
Yes, although I'd worked out the lines by the time I ran this. But pound for pound this thing certainly was the winner!
Hang on a minute... I'm supposed to do maintenance?.... oopsy...
Nah... overrated !
That gearbox wine is awful
Music needed in this Video otherwise epic.
Yeah usually I'll throw music in, but this is just a raw cut that will go in another video :)
