@@paytonk01I know right. Everything I watch now are from the UK. Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and countless others. Also The UK did so much for US TV, as many of you know alot of US Shows were based on UK Shows.
On these shows, these Gay Men don't mince words, they tell these folks what time it is. I would love for there to be a round table discussion with the gay guys on this show, and talk about what motivated and inspired them to be so clean, and organized. 😊
It was good to see the OCD ones having fun ❤️ I have to clean my stove 5 times this show has helped see them cleaning once and what with and their numbers .
I think any extreme is not good. Hoarding is not good but having a spotless home with sofas/cushions you can't sit or lean on, things you can't use etc is not good either. I grew-up in a home like the later (10 times fold) and it was difficult to be so limited in enjoying our home. Both situations inders life's enjoyement. Of course if I had to choose I prefer the OCD way but this is not how I've chosen to be! I was an extremely fanatical cleaner and germaphobe. It took me years of therapy to change my ways as it became intolerable. I'm very clean (ok perhaps slighly overboard) however, we can sit on the sofa, use the cooker, walk on the floors, eat snacks in front of the tv, things don't have to line-up perfectly or folded perfectly etc. I'm not putting anyone down or judging anyone but just commenting how extremes are difficult to live with based on my personal experience. I wish everyone on this show well and if the way they are makes them happy so be it! 💖
It’s hard for me to watch the mother/daughter duo on these. The mom clearly goes on and on about germs and obviously was saying these things to her daughter from a young age, imparting her paranoia/anxiety onto her daughter. Difficult to watch how freaked out they are about everything.
Ah I see a lot of comments like this about Leslie and Tuesday. OCD also runs in my family, my mother, aunt and uncle have it, my cousin and myself. I can say that my mom’s OCD didn’t effect the onset of mine, for me it started at 6 with even numbers and compulsive hoarding. My mom’s is around tasks, and certain types of cleaning- she can’t relax until certain things are done. She did it all my life, and it did effect me but it didn’t effect my OCD. I can’t speak for Leslie and Tuesday, but I think it’s entirely possible Leslie was very aware of her OCD and tried to keep it from effecting Tuesday, and Tuesday may have had OCD start anyway. That may have been devastating for Leslie. I could be wrong, but I just don’t think that most people’s comments on them are fair, I think it’s taking a lot for granted.
@@mistyaqua thanks for your perspective. I know a lot of mental disorders can be genetic so it makes sense. It’s possible she didn’t affect her daughter at a young age. Just the way she speaks about everything and how her daughter is even more scared of germs than she is leads me to believe she imparted some of her anxieties onto her. Especially since unlike your family, they have the same form of OCD (or so it seems). But you make a fair point that I shouldn’t judge or make conclusions.
It’s hilarious how the archeologist is in such denial over his hoarding. He’s obviously a very interesting person, however, why would a collector not clean the fridge and have difficulty parting with expired food? If he’s so ill how is able to keep taking so many courses? And what really gives it away is him analyzing the young man who came to assist him. He really can’t see the forest from the tree.
True. I once dated a "collector" and before I first stepped into his flat, he warned me about what I was about to see. It was like walking into Aladin's treasure trove, the place jam-packed with STUFF from floor to ceiling!!! BUT ....everything was scrupulously clean and organized by category. A true collector would not let his precious collections gather dust and grime.
I've become addicted to watching these British shows! Thank you for posting them!!
Me too omg

@@KBuysman1 Thanks for listening and sharing this nice response.
Yes. Tuesday's behavior seems learned. It would have been better for her to leave the house.

yeah, the sick people are def.s the cleaners this time around.
Can someone tell me please if it is a British thing, to wash your dishes and leave the suds on them to run off? Thank you.
Letting them soak is pretty common in America too, especially if it’s something that might be harder to remove.
