Quick story...you'll love this...first time using my vr, fell down the stairs...wife had to call 911...broke my leg, swear to god man, true story...emt dudes were tripping out, couldn't believe what I did! Took my vr with me on the way to hospital, finished watching the chase scene that made me fall down the stairs! Love it!

@flossy Carter, that little white type c adapter is for trickle charging, for older micro usb to type c, so do you can use your older chargers, type c port is on the bottom of the headset
You think the gear vr before this new navy blue one will be compatible with the note 7 with an adapter maybe? I want the note 7 but i didnt want to sell my vr and get the new one

Hey Floss great video as usual...I just wanted to clarify that the little white adapter is for the type c connection on the bottom of the Gear VR for charging. Just like the adapter that comes with the Note 7, so you can use a micro USB to keep your phone charged or in the future for use with USB gaming controllers and possibly flash drives for movies etc. Thanks for keeping it REAL...

Quick question; i have this VR but when i watch movies on netflix or any clips for that matter it shows up pretty blurry no matter how much I try to mess with the focus. Do you have the same issue? I am using it with the note 7.
I just bought the last model (frost white) I see it has an extra button on the headset and something about proximity... what is the difference between the the frost white and the blue one you just got?

First question: Dose the screen size of the different devices matter or is a S6 as good as a note 7 regarding the quality of the experience.
Second question: I have a S6 and I am wondering if it is worth spending more for the latest gear VR because I thought it is primarily made for the note 7.

+Christoph G. The screen sizes don't matter, it's the displays resolution that matters. They all pretty much look the same, the new ones have a little more of a wide angle

I held off getting the Gear VR due to not being able to find the Note 4 compatible version at a reasonable price. Now that I've upgraded to the Note 7, it's ON! I can't wait! Dumb question: Can you use the old padded straps on the newest headset?

Holla at my boy Floss. Love your content. Been a sub on and off (a.d.d.) since 90k. Just FYI, the micro-usb to type c adapter (white) doesn't work on the gear vr at all. Not only does it not fit in with the note 7, it won't engage the vr if you jerry rig it with a cable.

Some retailers haven't sold the gear VR 1.0 with the accessories you mentioned for at least a year, so the package with the extra gear may have been a delux version.

Is the screen blurry like the other one? There were a lot of complaints about the screen being blurry on the older model. I have the older one and the screen isn't crystal clear. Really annoying.

I still use the note 4 GVR mostly because the SD card plus battery swaps but its gettin old and left behind.. whats your favorite phone/gear. or better yet if tomorrow you woke up in a curb to curb filled zombie apocalypse, what phone and gear would go in you breakout bag? ps. we all know when the end does come you'd be the guy leaving behind some rations just to fit some of ur wicked toys;)
