Get this guys, to maintain a foothold on market and please the shareholders, all these large corporations need to churn out something new every year. Its up to you where you find yourself fit. In my case, I have a note 3 for past 2 years and have never looked at anything else since it's a complete package in itself and still relevant in 2016.

In my opinion it still has the best and most useful set of sensors and the coolest camera modes.
Samsung should honour it by making the Note 30 with the latest hardware improvements, the same set of sensors, improved body/frame and an improved camera array. The battery should still be removable.

yesterday i baought note 4 n910f, but the thing i don't like is that the speaker is back side of note 4. I didn't have any choice, beacause note 5 no memory card slot and note 7 screan smaller than 5.7 and the rest of samsung i don't like.

I think the bench mark is accurate. having owned all of these phones myself, I can say that the Note 4 was severely underpowered and extremely slow. It was a major step back from the 3

+ECHELON That is absolutely correct. Note 3 is from the good old times when Note series used to be future proof. It is even really strong build with good temp glass protector.

I have the s7 edge now, but I had the Note3 before this one. I can tell you that the Note 3 was the best phone untill 2016.

As a 2, 4, and 7 owner. I have to tell you. I've had more trouble with my note 4 than any other phone. Battery, charger, charging port and the performance wasn't great. Once they force upgraded me to marshmallow it RUINED that phone. Laggy, slow, ect. I went back down to my old note 2 that I've never replaced anything on. Still works great and used it for 1 month while waiting for note 7 to come out. Hope the 7 is made like the 2. So far so good, minus the need for screen protector out of the box

I'm rocking a Note 4. Removable battery and 3 gig of RAM. I don't see any reason to shell out $1000 for a six month old phone design. My expectation is that the Note 7 will be made obsolete when the next Galaxy line is released. The Note 7 breaks my heart. They lost their energy. On another note.....does it make sense to blow that much money on ANY phone? It's like we're still paying $800 for VCR's.

I have been using my Note 4 Exynos versionfor almost 2 years and I really like it. Unfortunately Note 7 turned out to be a failure. It's a pity really. Why for we need all these edges with really unfunctional and uncomfortable curved glasses. I guess Samsung should have put all its efforts into returning the Note line it's premium status. Lokk forward to Note 8 next year.
I think the biggest bump in performance was in note 3 vs note 2. Look closely and you will find the geekbench 3 score almost doubled on note 3 as compared to note 2. No other iteration has this much jump. Proud to be loyally attached to my note 3! I couldn't find a better daily driver in last 2 years without spending a fortune.
note 4 to note 5 had bigger jump in real world performance software was horrible for the note 4

Note 5 to Note 7 was probably the biggest jump. Multi Core score is 2K of a difference and Single Core is a 600 difference. Note 2 to Note 3 with Single Core is just 400 and Multi Core is just around 800

just upgraded from the 2 too the 7, what a difference.
the speed upgrades stopped at 3 and they literally reduced CPU speed after that. so anything before 3 would see an improvement.

The Note 3 was an absolute BEAST for its time, and is still a viable phone to use today.
I just ran geekbench 3 on my exynos Note 4 ( n910c ) and I got 1276 on single core score and 4372 on multi core score
That's why I specifically bought the octa core note 4. It's way faster than the snapdragon version

Abdo mahmoud The octa core is better when it comes to multitasking, using apps, and generally faster. But the snapdragon performs better in things that require GPU processing, aka videos and games, but that doesn't mean that the octa core is bad at all. I bought it Feb of last year and it still works as great as new. Just make sure you set the window animation scales to 0.5x in developer options and it'll be much faster, disable S Voice home key shortcut, and buy Nova launcher prime. (Mine is N910C version).

+Abdo mahmoud If you're talking about the speaker, I'd give it 7/10. It's good enough in the situations where you really need it. As for the headphones quality, I'd say 8.5/10. Just adjust the Sound Adapt from music player settings in a quiet room first.

+Cole13517 i like it, but i find the root on android very unstable, specially on the note 4, now i've been like 2 months without it and after 4 years being on android i think i'm going to switch to an iphone, i've had the 3g back then and i use a 4 as mp3 and i like ios more every day so a 6s or 6s plus will be a nice upgrade from the note 4 otherwishe the note 8 will be amazing for shure.

I make RUclips videos of a mobile game and do all of the video editing on my device and my phone handles it remarkably well. You'll love your note 3!

Oliden Izquierdo I've been a Samsung fan for years. I was really disappointed in the 5. The camera wasn't that good, no SD slot, lost my remote control option, the memory management was horrendous. I hope the 7 they addressed these issues.

Note 4 - on my device it shows 1231 Single-Core Score, and 4401 Multi-Core Score, so something is wrong with your device, need to mentione it's Exynos (N910C).

For my note 5 it says, 24218 for 3D 67162 for the whole phone, 19589 to UX, 18776 to CPU, 4579 to RAM.
Note 4 its kinda slow and the battery dies alot very quickly but it still works.

I own Note 3 today. I'm using "Note" cellphones from the beginning of Samsung Galaxy Note series. I bought Note I in 2011, and it was love from the first touch. It was a real joy to replace my stupid iPhone 4. It was my first android based smartphone. Today there is horrendous amount of products in this category, but nobody is manufacturing smartphone with precise digital stylus. Well, Note 3 and Note 4 are very similar. Note 5 was not available in EU. Now I really like to upgrade in to Note 7, but price is a little too tricky, at least for today. The Note 1 even considering inflation rates, was much more cheaper, price tag for first units was like 550€. And there was no any alternatives on this size, and capabilities by this time. Android system was very fresh and only begun to claim market place in this industry. And for today 800€+ price tag for this king of the gadget, is little too much. Sorry I can have really nice PC for this money. I really like Note 7 specs, but I only consider to buy this marvel if price drops bellow 600€. For pity part, I really don't like rounded screen corners, for me it's big disadvantage on durability and handling. There is no good protection case, for rounded screen corners, and drop tests shows that the glass on the corners damages very easy. My friends own S6 - S7 Edge, and they constantly shatter the glass. My Note 3 is like a tank, you drop it, plastic frame deforms but screen is intact. Plastic elements on right spots is very good solution for preventing any serious damage. Aluminum - not so very much. Rounded corners? Sorry, looks catchy, but at least in handling ...... not so good and fun experience. You just mus consider to buy insurance for screen damage, because if you crack it, costs for replacement is crazy!

I just picked up the new Note 7, I've had the Note 3 and 4 in the past. In the states we don't get the Exynos chipsets, just the snapdragon versions.
Using the Note 4. Glad I bought the last, true premium utility Note series. Plan on using it at lest another 2 years or more.
Not a fair comparison for the " restart " test. Note 7 was not on default theme so it took more time to change its theme before reaching the lock screen.

I currently have the Note 5 , an AMAZING phone, I started with the 2, then 3 skipped 4, and plan on skipping 7 and will catch back up with 8 or whatever the 2017 late summer release will be.

My SM-N910C was like my Nokia 5110 in terms of usability, and efficiency lol. My Note 4 is hovering around 69k to 71k mark in Antutu. Unrooted. Stock rom. Package Disabler Pro installed. Excellent with fps games. MM 6.0.1
I'm currently using note 1, note 4 & note 7. I used it for business & personal. (Plus i pad air).
But the problem that I had when running on android 5.0 is the proximity sensor sometimes goes crazy when making phone calls it can turn off the screen by itself but can't turn back on the screen by itself
