I got to ride in the cab of 2-6-2 #4 way back in 1984 because i was taking photos 📸 but when they started this loco blew steam and oil on my clothes!! I asked them for a rag to wipe me off but they said come up in the cab. And they let le sit in the firemans bench...but Suddenly we were moving backwards!!! Also i gad my small portable audio cassette tape recorder for sound effects, but engine 4 was way off beat and 3 chuffs but the gap until the 4th chuff!!!! After we arrived at Camp 5 farm display i had to go into the 1st coach for the run back south Forward to Laona; also i got to see the newest shortline of the NICOLET, BADGER AND NORTHERN and their Unique diesel WHITCOMB Center cab pulling some gondolas liaded with logs thus i have the 7nique combination of the photos of the WHITCOMB Diesel plus ➕ the sound effects too!!-! Even now after the past 40 years, now in August 2024A.D.!!-! ALL ABOARD ; HIGHBALL 👋✌🤟☝🤜🤛!!
