.....actually from this video it becomes clear why every other sport uses nets; serving becomes too big of an advantage and it becomes too difficult moving the opponent around the field, leading to a lot of stasis at the front of each court. my friend and I use the back square of the tennis court which is wider than the areas used here, this gives much more lateral motion and makes the sport, i think, more attractive and enjoyable

That game was initially "invented" to play for fun, without net, wherever possible. This video doesn't represent anything, cause it looks like the different in the athletes level is huge. So the conclusion about net and serving is not quite right.
