I’ve been saying this for the longest time. People that buy no accident cars only to wreck them a month later….if the work was done right or you can get it for a steal I never hesitate to jump on a deal.

That's what I did with my McLaren 650s. It is salvage but it was repaired very well. Did a PPI, everything checked out... Saved $40k in the market value and I been driving the shit out of it ever since. I don't even want to sell it. Is too much fun for what I would get for it plus I won't find anything else that fast and beautiful for the price I paid
Trade it for a repaired salvage 675 or a 720 when the opportunity comes 👍

I love your channel Ed. I would like to own all of these cars too, but not everyone is wealthy. I will continue to rumble around in my 1978 Trans Am show car that I never worry about putting miles on. Like you, I bought it to drive. When sitting next to a new Vette, guess which car makes people's jaws drop and women scream? I love the new Vettes, but the TA makes people act pretty nutty. Never imagined that would happen.

This is exactly what I did to procure my "dream car" , but unfortunately it is locked in a container quite a distance away from me although it is paid for and perfect for my intended uses. I can't wait to get back to it and rack up some miles.

In the past year, I have paid about 40% of the price I paid for a 911 on repairs, so I could have bought a garage queen for the same price. Lesson learned.

This is so true if you intend to rally. Fall rallies, with all the beautiful leaves on the road, just wreck your paint. Even with PPF rock chips accumulate. But frankly, it's worth it. A rally in the mountains is the most fun thing you can do with your car, and unlike the track, you can bring a friend!

Top 3 in my garage would be LFA , 05 Ford Gt , McLaren F1. The gt would get driven the most bc I'm sure it's easier to keep maintenance up.
These cars are great when you buy em and they've been taken care of and they're perfect but they're really great when they've been driven like they're supposed to

I would want a 5-car garage if price were no option.
1) Mazda Miata - daily driver
2) McLaren F1 - What else compares?
3)Toyota Sienna - best all around vehicle. Doesn't do anything perfectly, but doesn't do anything poorly
4)A box truck - doesn't have to be a 27 foot, but at least a 20-24. For big loads and big towing
5)A good race car. That I can drive. So that will probably be another Miata or similar.

I love my 991.2 GT3 6MT but you're right. It is simply too nice. Sure, I enjoy it but it is tense driving because I am so careful with it. Ideally I would get a 996 Carrera 2 or 4 6MT, solid mechanicals but cosmetically a bit rough so that I could drive it everyday and not care about parking it at Walmart. My 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis with 365k km currently serves the role of beater car and it's great, worry-free driving. Other people avoid my car.
I'd go for Ferrari 521TR, Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS 1973, and Ferrari GTO.
Every sports car I’ve bought Ed style has been a much better ownership experience

When i get my powerball trio of cars, its Ferrari 365 Daytona, Lamborghini 400 GT, and lastly i want my 85 Trans Am GTA back. I loved that car and drove it like i stole it, and then one day a truck ran a light and t boned me. Yea i know it wasnt exotic or particualrly fast, but it was fun and it was mine.
At 6'6" I doubt I would fit comfortably in anything on their showroom floor so I'd go with a '71 GTO, '78 280Z, '05-'06 Jeep LJ manual & if 4 then also an '80 G Wagon.
