The fact that John can talk about it and acknowledge it, it’s probably why he’s successful now.
Or the fact he comes from real money and has been connected because of that since a teen if you watched his other videos
@@messermoreaux1139 he wasn’t rich growing up
Any real man with some age and experience would love to tell their story's!!! I hope one day I can be a motivational speaker for the youth, not a terrible retirement plan 🤷♂️ especially when you've lived a colorful rollercoaster lifestyle by the time I was in my mid 20s I did more than most men have their whole lifes!!
@K W don't have to be technically "rich or wealthy" but if your born, raised, and all the family friends are not lower & middle class, then you've got connections with money backing them connections, life is much much easier, and the path to success becomes alot shorter and easier with luxuries that are literally out of reach for a poor or middle class boy/man to achieve. Anyone who argues this is clueless and has had the luxury of staying in one social class for their life and blind to the rest of society. 🤷♂️
How are you supporting all of this financially:
Dude: Centurion 😮
You'll definitely want to see the next story we run from John.
Will it be the detailed story of blowing up your Gallardo?
Agreed! I definitely want to see it!
that intro volume level is that for dogs or?? turned it up during the intro and john almost blew my speakers when he sttarted talking
@@haywood12cry
i genuinely enjoy Johns way of story telling.
Great humility and a great lesson for all of us. Congratulations to John on his journey back to the top.
God has a plan!
He started at the top… the journey was a short one.
Great humility? Excuse me? I like John, but the story was basically “I threw a huge super car event and went 300K in debt…but things are fine now.”
Not humble whatsoever
I just want to know how he went from being a professional Mike the Situation impersonator, to a Ethan from H3 Productions impersonator.
John is very likable. Took responsibility, got out from under it, and moved forward. I meet people every day with terrible business plans but sometimes they have to learn this way.
You spelled that wrong it's 'unlikeable'
He literally got a slap on the wrist for something a regular non connected citizen would have gotten major time over..
From cocky kid to a very level headed guy now , I take my hat off to you . Loving your videos
Really great of you to tell this story John. It's a lesson we can all appreciate.
What a stand up guy John is! Showing accountability, owning your mistakes, making it right, while not playing the victim. We don't see that enough these days, what a refreshing video.
My father has taught me from a young boy that, "the decisions you make today will affect you for the rest of your life". Fully agree!
The sponsor bit at the end lands... oddly. John's just spent 11 minutes telling everyone a cautionary tale about owning the consequences of your actions, and then Ed comes in like, "Here's a way to dodge the consequences of your actions." :)
It's called timed irony, and it is PERFECT.
I found the life of the party!
It’s a channel talking about being reckless with cars
If you listen closely to the story John went to court and negotiated a resolution. I’m sure he had the help of a lawyer during the process. That’s exactly what the sponsor does for tickets. It wouldn’t be allowed if it wasn’t within the scope of the law.
The only ones allowed to break laws are the ones paid by extorted taxpayer funds to enforce those laws. 🥳
I lived in Palm Beach County during this time.. 2002 to 2020. I remembered this hitting the paper. Now this show is HUGE and lots of fun..!!! I met lots of cool people and saw great autos...!! I met Butch Patrick (Eddie on the Munsters) with 2 of the show's cars..!! Thank you John...!!
If you could find him, the person that was hired by Lexus to market the LFA, would be so awesome. I know that lexus hired a rep to basically drive an LFA to different meets as a way to market it when no one was buying them. A story from specifically him on his experiences would be fascinating.
A funny thing happen to me while I was coming back from work passing downtown couple years back (when leaving work at 2pm would get u back to bbank in less then ten mins to super light traffic) anywho for some reason I jus decided to record for know reason what so ever (yes I don’t jus record n driver ever.. I think I was in a 850i n wanted to record the windows go ûp as u pass 100mph n jus as they added the lil by pass lame to either exit or cut threw to the 5 I notice the bright yellow car I’ve only seen once online it was a LFA n I couldn’t believe I caught it jus as I was about to turn off the camera,.... excuse the sensless discretion trying to look busy.... lol but yea would love to meet the PR team....
Congratulations to John on 75k subscribers and counting! He is like a walking exotics encyclopedia, much like yourself and our beloved John Ficarra.
John, your humility and willingness to speak about where you came from should be an inspiration (and lesson) to all young people with a dream for their future. I think that you would not be where you are today without admitting the mistakes made and learning from them.
One of the best Car Stories yet. Kudos to you John for telling your story so openly and honestly.
I wasn’t sure about this dude until right now. I’m sold, he’s one of the good ones. Tough video to make I’m sure, but much respect for doing it. I’m a fan for life now.
samething here.
I don't know why exactly, but I felt the exact same way. I suppose that once you hear about someone's rock bottom story, that it makes him more relatable.
@@RBeeMedia reality checks are more relatable than success stories
I met John in person, I was just at curated to ooo and ahh at cars that will most likely forever be out of my price range but he was so kind, so polite, and very respectful to me and my friend, he’s a true car guy that gets it, I can’t say enough about how nice him and his staff were to me! Even took the time to chat about a few cars and the inventory, I just can’t say enough about his amazingly character and how down to earth he is!
Good for you, not only owning it, but putting it out there. My son is having a tough time right now, I am going to have him watch this...Thank you John!!
I feel this. I flunked out of college on a full ride scholarship and then again after taking out loans. I eventually got my life together and an now living my best life.
What do you do now? I'm on a similar path but am back in college
@@ImmaTbagyou I am an LTL daycab trucker and logistics coordinator for a small trucking company. My wife is in the medical field. We were on food stamps when we met and now make $320,000 a year combined. Took a lot of hard work and stress, but we beat the system.
@@americansmark you joined the system. you didn’t beat it. but well done nonetheless.
@@allegorx58 meh. I beat the poor person system, anyway.
Respect to John for learning from mistakes and still making a success of himself
John is so successful, he can’t even say “failures” anymore.
I was lucky enough to meet him one day, I was headed to my dads store to help him out, and I occasionally take 2nd ave hoping to one day see John Temerian, and one day, I did. Man, I wish I could’ve asked him to be a mentor for me
So humble of him to acknowledge his own past. That takes grit, made me respect him moreso. Thank you for the story John!
This is a great story about accountability and understanding who you are putting around yourself.
That was great, honest, and transparent. Fantastic that John can talk on that level.
This story is definitely going to end up being one of the GOATS from the channel! That was a stellar story!
Nice to see someone so successful still embrace his past…we all love and learn John, congrats on making it back to the top
I had a buddy who hung around rich people in the Hamptons. He learned how to party crash. He started working in SoCal and would party crash here. One day, I visited him in his condo. He was about to go to Australia for a month long vacation. He had a pile of unpaid bills on the counter and I asked about those. He said that rich people dont pay their bills. I said, “But you’re not rich”. And he took his trip on credit cards. Eventually, he started a business and as expected, started screwing his customers.
Amazing story! I couldn’t imagine being 21 living that life
This is my favorite video yet!! Congrats John you've become a well rounded man.!
John, well said. Hope we all will listen and hear.
Solid lesson. Learned this the hard way in my early 20's. Still impacts me every once in a while in my 40's.
Absolute legend! One of my favorite stories!
Very gutsy video to make about yourself with a great message at the end. Very well done.
That's a great lesson for youths. Hope they take notes and make responsible choices with their lives.
I have only one word for this.... "inspiring." His positive attitude about learning from his mistakes. And the honesty about the situation. It would be so easy to point fingers and blame everyone else would have been the easy cop out. The man has my upmost respect. Great channel.. great content.
John got the best stories on the channel fr
I’m glad to hear you took this as a lesson and not a failure. It’s only a failure if you don’t stand up and work your way back. Congrats on your successes!
Great story. John Temerían is one of my favorite vin wiki speakers.
I met John in California for the lamborghini show. He is a really great guy he took the time for a photo. He is the real deal. Thanks again John for the memory.
John should’ve called the ticket clinic 😂
Great story and great lessons to be learned. And good on John for having the humility and intellectual maturity to not only recover from his fall from grace but to acknowledge his mistakes and speak openly and honestly about them. To err is human.
Liked John before, but now a huge amount respect.
Most people would've let that story disappear and hope most people would never know of it (I didn't), but it takes humility to actually tell that story to Millions of people who had no clue. And when you're that young and "successful" it's hard to not let it get to your head. Most of us have been young and dumb. Cheers 🤘
In my experience failure has always taught me humility and invaluable life experience and at times has become the driving force for the things I’ve been successful at.
Thank you for being so open, honest and vulnerable John. A great life lesson!
This is going to be one of the best videos on this channel.
Agreed @DanaOrtiz I hope the life lessons that are the reason for this story, will be recognized and well received! We shall see.
ngl, the title made me go "WTF!?!?" I thought it was something that is currently happening, lol.
John has the best stories and outlook
Absolutely fantastic video guys! Such a compelling story told brilliantly and has a fantastic message to the younger crowd to boot! What more could you want?
Thanks for the inspiration John.
Love this man and all his stories and history
I did 6 months in jail for dangerous driving at 18 years old. Definitely still effects me now, and will for many years to come. If youre a teenager now, remember to think about your actions. You dont understand yet what the consequences really are. The time i did was nothing compared to how the charges have effected my life
Pretty humble, cool dude
Wow, someone who learned from a bunch of poor decisions. Bravo JohnT! I was glad to hear him say that he eventually paid off his debts, rather than take the common route of bankruptcy, and leaving other people to carry the burden. Be careful folks, there are lots of shady "glitzy people" out there.....
That is how a lot of people get rich. Doing it the honest way is much harder. This is why people should not follow or believe all these influencers with supercars - guaranteed they are lying.
John Temerian always brings a good story.
A Great story of humility.
Paying it off was great to hear, well done mate.
New bell here!! Very best to John for working back to where he is now. Great respect for him. (UK).
Very admirable. Getting incarcerated can be a new beginning instead of the end of the road. Been there
👍
Good story John. You wouldn't be where you are now without this happening and it's better to make these mistakes when you're young. On a much smaller scale I started a business with someone who made similar promises when I was about the same age as you were. Learned a lot of lessons quickly!
Humility, honesty, accountability and acknowledging your failure and making it right is a very rare breed in this day and age. Kudos...hopefully you are a huge success.
Thank you John for sharing your story! 👏🏽
Dude has the gift of the gab, great story-teller.
Fantastic attitude and character. Great story. Hope this guy goes on to even bigger and better success.
Joe,
Love the story.
Know from personal experience that the only cure for over confidence, arrogance, smartest person in the room…is humiliation.
Your awesome brother!
Chris Blocker - Indiana
A truly valuable story to share,,, Thank you John. Well done
Great story. Owned up to his mistakes, and made things right. The world needs more of this. I wish John the best.
that is a good episode!!!
Damn. Could’ve been salty, bitter, or devasted especially at 21. Gives me hope man
Great lesson from John
I'll admit that I've never been the biggest John Temerian fan, but I can respect taking a hard fall, learning from it, and getting back up. Well done.
Wow. Respect to John. I’m glad my initial thoughts on him have been proven right. Straight up gentlemen.
Ed, I liked this story much much more than some of the rich boy shenanigans videos you have. It really seems like John is a gem of a person. It makes me want to root for him and his business more knowing how humble he is.
How do they just call the cops on you and not even attempt to call you first? It's not like it was for goods where you are likely just gone but for a venue.
John is one of the best guests with his presentation style. A lot of baggage but he doesn't distance himself from it nor is he trying to leverage it. Instead he puts himself out there honestly. That's refreshing. I was already happy for his recent success but even more so now for having not run away but owned up, paid it off and started new.
Great story John you seem like a genuine guy glad you were able to bounce back!
Any video with John T gets a like, even before I watch it.
Mad respect John
He is amazing. Love that he points out the lessons to learn 👌
Inspirational and Ethereal, thank you John 🏁
It’s a very good sign when a man can admit that he was cocky and a fool in the past. Most of us would also make similar mistakes at that age and in those situations.
This really shook me to take a look at my own life and decisions I have taken and things I am doing right now, thanks for sharing that, this may help me
Life will always prove that it’s not what you did, it’s what you are doing that matters
I only needed one trip in the back of a black and white dodge charger handcuffed to realize I never wanted that to happen again. It isn’t fun, especially sitting in a cell by yourself for hours and hours with no human contact. It wears on you.
yep. that’s the point.
John is a great story teller.
I really like this guy for one pretty big reason, his accountability, his honesty follows right after that.
Great stuff John!!! 👍👍🙂
These are the types of stories that change lives. And through cars nonetheless. Great story John. And great to see you can use your experience to potentially better others.
Yep, I made a stupid decision at the age of 19 that still haunts me today at the age of 69! Being that I live in Texas, there is nothing that I can do to have it removed from my record. It doesn't matter how well I've done in the last 50 years, The state of Texas doesn't forgive. Think, before you do something stupid as a young person.
@@widing19 yeah if trump can have bankruptcy disappear from his records in 7 years why shouldn't criminal records not disappear
This is how you grow. This is success. Kudos John.
this man unironically started his villain arc in the back of that cop car💀
This is why I absolutely love John Temerian. The fact that he chose to put this out now for the world n many prospective clients to see is an insanely ballsy move. Especially so considering how big a player he is becoming in the classic car scene. My dude deserves the redemption n success he's had till date n the days to come.
Someone wise once told me that wisdom would be wasted if given to us in our youth. I agree
John. Thanks for sharing
The grandest proof of good character is the full on admission of poor character. People, you may hear that Tigers don't change their stripes but, we're not tigers or animals are we? Humans are the changingest (most changing., but I like the sound of "changingest") humans are the changingest things on the face of this planet. John, is human, he is ONLY human. His great character today proves, as he's readily able to admit poor character, that redemption exists, Johnny boy, you have been redeemed.
Keep shifting forward, my guy.
Great story and obviously lesson learned. Nice to see someone not blame others for their decisions, kudos!
Great story.
Very cool that you where able to learn and bounce back.. 🎉
Best John story I've heard. Should've started with it and used that to show the humble beginnings of curated
Wow thanks for such candor
What a story. Why did we have to wait so long for this one?
