I'm only in the learning stage of how to keep appointed times. I am N. Irish who found out my ancestral lineage/dna is hebrew on both parent's sides. We didn't know who we were until some years ago, it was hidden. We came out of the church, but follow Yeshua as he taught Torah. So we keep the words of Moses. And keeping Shabbat. As a family we're slowly learning. However I am not quite sure what traditions to follow and what to disguard. I only learn from home as you can imagine there are no congregation to meet with, just family online on Shabbat at another part of N. Ireland.

It's always a pleasure to listen and learn from you, Nehemiah. Thank you, and Yehovah show you who the Savior of all who will is, friend.
🔥There's something wrong with the general understanding of not lighting a fire on the Sabbath. The command is not saying to avoid .having. a fire on the Sabbath.
The Sabbath is not a burden.
Yehovah certainly doesn't expect His national people, nor called-ones, to stay in their houses with or without toddlers, during zero degree temperature for 24 hours.
It used to be a bigger undertaking to start a fire from scratch. So what the command means is to be sure to keep the house, building and Temple fire going during the Sabbath, so the somewhat involved undertaking of starting a fire from scratch doesn't have to take away from keeping the Sabbath quodesh.

So, special supervised kosher for Passover Rum is plausible.

Sourdough bread is a bread made by the fermentation of dough using Lactobacillus and Yeast.
Yogurt's main leaven is Lactobacillus bulgaricus, a bacteria
Wine and beer's leaven is yeast, a single cell fungus, not a bacteria. Not all beer is made from grains. Ginger beer is made from ginger, sugar, yeast in water to ferment. Gruit (Grew it) is an herbal beer that can be made with or "without grain" as wine has no grain. Vodka is basically made with sugar yeast and water.
Back in 3000 BC the Egyptians were very skilled at making beer and bread. In the mid 1800's they would scoop the foam (barm) off the top of the fermenting beer and sell it to the bakers. Kinda hard to believe this wasn't practiced in Egypt. Beer and bread making has gone hand in hand through the centuries. And from that came the poor mans sour dough bread.
Cast out your sour dough bacteria, but not your wine.
As for my fellow Christians that don't celebrate the pagan easter, Yeshua's blood was symbolized by the Passover wine at the last supper. You can have something for your door posts if you want.
I don't adorn God with pagan days or ways. Deuteronomy 12:29-32

    • @Mr-Corey-June
      @Mr-Corey-June 2 месяца назад +1

@@Yahaniah From what I understand from Nehemia's video is that it's "only the sour dough starter".
It makes sense since grapes and grains have yeast on them. Kefir isn't sour dough, same with yogurt. They didn't cast out the wine, grapes or grain. Wine is made from yeast that grapes have on them. As for beer the grain, has yeast on it. From what I understand about kefir grains, they are the dried product for dry storage of starter for kefir. Active Kefir is propagated the same way as sour dough starter. but it's not the sour dough leaven.
Nehemia also brought up vinegar. The basics from my understanding is, the bacteria that makes vinegar, eats alcohol produced by the yeast. So wine vinegar, the yeast have already made the alcohol for the bacteria to eat. With vinegar made from juice, it needs yeast to start the process so the vinegar bacteria has something to eat. Apple cider vinegar is made this way.
When Nehemia said it was just the "sour dough starter", my mind was opened. Many of God's laws have a hygiene base behind them. Sour dough starter can go bad, so making the people do a spring cleaning of the bread makes a lot of sense.
When Noah stepped off the ark, all animals were for meat unless it was found dead or wounded by an animal or it was sick. But does "meat" mean just food? Nope, Psalms 104:14 - 15 opens that up. Man kind was given herbs for meat/?
      Psalms 104:14,15 LXX
      14 He makes grass to grow for the cattle, and green herb for the service of men, to bring bread out of the earth;
15 and wine makes glad the heart of man, to make his face cheerful with oil: and bread strengthens man's heart.
      Psalms 104:14,15 WMB
14 He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:
15 wine that makes the heart of man glad, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.
      Psalms 104:14,15 JPS
14 Who causeth the grass to spring up for the cattle, And herb for the service of man; To bring forth bread out of the earth,
15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, Making the face brighter than oil, And bread that stayeth man’s heart.
Service, that is much more use than food. Like with herbs, some are poison, but they can still give service. Worms and larva are meat, chickens love them and we eat the chickens, that's service. We grow hay to feed livestock, we eat the livestock, that's again service. We juice the grapes, the yeast feeds off the sugar to pee out the alcohol and we drink it to make our hearts glad. That is service.
3 months after the 1st Passover, Exodus ch20. God spoke to the people and told them his laws. They got scared and asked Moses to be their go between, that's Ex.20:19. Now remember. They were told by God himself what those laws were. They had forgotten them while in Egypt. Joseph knew them, he wouldn't commit Adultery.
      Genesis 38:9 WMB
9 No one is greater in this house than I am, and he has not kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”
Back to Sinai Ex 34. Moses didn't come down the mountain quick enough for them, so they made a golden calf, even after God told them his laws. Moses cam down, smashed the tablets.
Moses plead with God Ex. 32; 31-35, Exodus 34;1-7, the people were punished. When they set up the Tabernacle a new set of punishment laws were given, and God hit them in the belly. It was the dietary laws, unto the 3rd and forth generation. It was the law that was added because of the transgression of the golden calf. And this opens up Galatians ch3 and exposes the error the translators (Romans) failed to understand. The law that was "added" couldn't be the 10 commandments, Joseph proves that and so does Ex. 20. The only Law that was "added" 430yrs after Abraham covenant with God because of sin/transgression is the dietary law. In Gal.ch2:11-21 they're talking about the eating customs of the Jews, aka the dietary law's rules. And now you know, a bit more than you asked. 😇

Not 100% certain, but I do believe from study ages ago that mo'ed/mo'edim מועד/מועדים are the basic understanding of appointed feast/festivals, whereas chag/chagim חג/חגים are specifically concerning the 3 main festivals/mo'edim מועדים wherein one travels to Yerushalayim during the year.

After posting the question, I did some research. מוֹעֵד/מוֹעֵדִימ are also used for the appointed time by Yehovah, such as the time of the conception of Sarah and then the birth of Isaac. It’s more about the appointed or setting time, place and meeting including the three major festivals by Yehovah. It first appeared in [Gen1:14], translated as ‘season’ in KJV. Well, חג/חגים is more about the feast or festival-gathering itself during מוֹעֵדִימ. That’s my shallow understanding as I just started learning Hebrew. Love it!

Thanks for this! Got me thinking about the question of "Was the Last Supper a Passover meal?" So I looked best I could to see in Hebrew Matthew, if the word "unleavened bread" used in Mt 26:17 was the same or different from the word used in Mt 26:26. As far as I could tell the v17 word has the base for "matzah" and the word in v26 is definitely the word for basic "bread". Perhaps in the future "Gospel Pearls" episode 1,478 (haha) you and Keith will settle that for me!

In Greek Matt 26:26, the word for basic leavened bread is ἄρτος (artos). Unleavened is called ἄζυμος (azeemos) & used in other places in scripture... but it's pretty clear the translators chose artos in this instance when Jesus broke it and passed it to the disciples during the last supper. I always found this very interesting as well :)

@@TheLloydChannel... yes! But not English translators... Greek! I was wondering who did that intentionally & why it has remained that way to this day, considering Matthew was translated into Greek by the 1st century Hebrew scholars? Unless it was a later edit in the 4th century. Also verse 17 literally says in Greek, "On the first day of Ton Azeemon (The Unleavened Bread!)..." Quite the obvious contradiction from verse 26, unless the word artos doubles in meaning for both leavened & unleaved bread? But I highly doubt that, considering there's already a separate word in Greek specifying unleavened bread, which again is azeemos. Very strange & interesting. Maybe Nehemia has more history to share on this!

Nehemiah, if you mix bread and water. Leave it covered outside of the refrigerator. It will begin to bubble in about 24-36 hours. The warmer the air the faster it begins to grow yeast.
Putting it in the refrigerator makes it take longer because of the cold temperature.

I continue to learn though I'm coming upon my 21st Passover/Pesach. I hunger after truth of the Torah of YeHoVaH. Although there may be practices of burning your final leftovers and house-crumbs before Passover begins, I have not yet found where that is any requirement (to be burned in fire), even though other offerings did, but they do not pertain to us directly. And as Nehemia mentions, se'or and honey and chametz was not allowed to be burned in fire upon the altar of YeHoVaH for a Passover purpose. -see minute 24, 25 in this teachingAnd Passover is not directly a meal offering nor grain offering.

OK: the Egyptians sold themselves to the Pharaoh for regular leavened bread in Genesis 47:19. Hence Passover stressing poor man's bread in order to LEAVE Egypt. Also, leaven/yeast "rises". Egyptians were obsessed with resurrection (rising) and immortality, hence embalming dead bodies, which goes against Genesis 3:19.

IF YOU PUT B.P ON THE FLOUR IT WON'T GET LEAVEN, UNLESS IT GET YEAST FROM THE AIR. THE BIBLE PROHIBIT YEAST AND HONEY.

It seems that you are confusing yeast which continues to multiply and grow in the dough and something such barking powder or soda which has a temporary chemical reaction to liquid which causes bubbles to form but neither persists nor grows in the dough. Is it not yeast which is forbidden during the time of matzah? So it seems that baking powder and soda are irrelevant. “Self rising flower” contains baking powder, not yeast.

      @bobirving6052 2 месяца назад

True. Baking powder is absolutely nothing to do with biblical leaven.
On the other hand, unleavened bread is about remembering coming out of Egypt so quickly that the bread couldn’t rise. To eat. Fluffy bread on Passover could be missing the point, even if it’s technically acceptable.
It’s also called “the bread of affliction.

@@busimagenactually he contradicts himself several times on this point. The whole subject is best summed up in the first few minutes when he defined the three Hebrew words used in the instructions. If the product isn’t yeast or bread made with yeast it isn’t of concern during Unleavened bread. It would be more accurate to call the time unyeasted bread in English to stop the confusion.

Yet somehow, the officials behind today's Israel and its general sponsors might not have been attentive to the scripture (Tanakh) and unaware of the prophetic verses that may affect its eventual fulfillment. They only listen to the positive messages of God's promise but do not adhere to his conditions.
    * God let them return to their land for a reason (Ezekiel 21:24, 29, 30).
    * Made empty declaration of peace...
    Ezekiel 13:10
    - "All of this is because they have led my people astray by saying, “There is peace!” when there is no peace. When a flimsy partition wall is built, they are plastering it with whitewash.’"
    * They have forgotten God and its legal case (Hosea 4:1).
    * They defiled his Sabbath by celebrating wild parties in his holy day (Ezekiel 23:38).
    * And brags of their heritage (Isaiah 47:8).
    * Neglected the reason why God allowed these people to exist till today.. and yet many will just deny their genealogies as irrelevant and significance as neighbors.
    Judges 3:1, 2
    - "These are the nations that God allowed to remain so that they could test all those of Israel who had not experienced any of the wars of Caʹnaan
2 (this was so that succeeding generations of Israelites would experience war, those who had not experienced such things before):"
    * The way they look for their neighbor (Ezekiel 34:17-22; Habakkuk 2:8, 10)
    * Those with lying visions and prophecies (Ezekiel 13:6; Jeremiah 5:31)
    Micah 3:5
".... But who declare war against him who puts nothing into their mouths:"
    * But time has a way of exposing its true nature.
    Isaiah 26:21
    - "..., And the land will expose her bloodshed And will no longer cover over her slain.”
    * Will u a lot a portion of land to the foreigners native (Palestines) as their inheritance without compulsion, as instructed in d last chapter of Ezekiel? (Ezekiel 47:22, 23)
    * Thus, God will judge between a fat sheep and a lean sheep (Ezekiel 34:20, 23, 24).
    * And this prophecy written by Paul coincided to Jesus words of warning to Jews, becoz they denied him.
    Romans 9:25
    - It is as he says also in Ho·seʹa: “Those not my people I will call ‘my people,’ and her who was not loved, ‘beloved’;"

Also if Adar 2 is added then Yom Kippur is after 6 months ...how does this mish mash work ? I'm not surprised about what Joseph Flavius said "When Jewish made everything they own way should they live in peace ,if they just start to do in their own way they go straight to the problems and trubels" . We celebrate 7 days from 24.03.2024 on our own. Well

The Abib of God website has also been very thorough over the years. I found it interesting that this year, the barley was in fact ready during the very last week of inspection, which was surprising & unexpected. So a 13th mth really was not necessary after all. As a result, many chose to observe Passover last mth, instead of following the pre-designed Hillel calendar. What's interesting this year is that an April Passover could also have very prophetic significance as '2nd Passover' (Noah's 17th day of the 2nd mth), so I've been watching this very closely, especially in light of escalating Iran-Israel tensions.

😂 You know that powdery whiteness on the outside of a grape is yeast right?
If you press grapes and let them sit they turn to wine or vinegar depending on the sugar content.
Trotting the wine press would only be done at Harvest Time.
I find that God often tells us to do things which help keep us healthy. Removing yeast from our diet and home, every last crumb, could be a healthy choice.

So you people learning the Word of the Living God, from the unbeliever? Nehemiah is as knowledgeable of the Hebrew Scriptures, as I am knowledgeable of Chinese ballet. Where is your discernment, if you are a believer in Yeshua? If someone cannot see Yeshua the Messiah in the Tanakh, he is blind and deaf. Shame on you.

I am not looking for a Hebrew scholar to lead me to Messiah. He reads the same Book Yeshua read and wrote. He is teaching us the Hebrew, not salvation. The Jews were intrusted with guarding and teaching Torah. That is what Nehemiah is doing. Why are you even here if you believe what you wrote. 😂
