    Hopefully our last fender flare review for the KRX. We feel that the Spike Powersports flares are the best flares available at this point. The Spike flares have the best coverage, are easy to install and are the most affordable!

    Appreciate you testing out all these different fender flare kits. I just picked up a used 2020 last Friday with 49 miles and starting to look for accessories. I ordered a set of these from your store. Thanks again!

    I got mine installed today. It did go pretty easy. I did have to trim it around the tree kicker like you did. Can't wait till I get into some mud.

    I run the same Spike Flares on my KRX. This was this first weekend where I really put them to the test. LOVE THEM! I live in Ohio so mud and tight trails is our majority riding. I recommend buying a box of extra push pins ($12 for 120 on amazon). I think I replaced about 10 this weekend. Every time you rub a tree you are going to break some. I agree though it is a lot better then breaking the fender. 2nd thing is if you run the rear bumper you will have to do additional trimming but not a big deal.

    • @rightcoastoffroad
      @rightcoastoffroad  3 года назад

      Thanks for the input man! We have a spare bag of those pins because we always manage to lose a few every ride off various pieces of body work. 🤣

    I really want a pair that comes off real easy for when I go rock crawling. Would these fit that bill?

    • @boblaws9851
      @boblaws9851 3 года назад +1

      With the very limited amount of mud and water in the area of the world we ride in, AJ's work great for me. I chose to go with only the fronts and that's plenty I think. Also only into them for just a little over $100. I have leaned them into rocks and folded the lower section flat against the body once when the front tire slipped off a rock. No damage to either the machine or the flare. Really no need to take them off unless you want to look out and see the entire front tire. I believe there are four or six very small self tapping screws along with the plastic rivets that hold each one on. Replace the screws with rivets if you wanted to be able to R&R them all the time.

    • @rightcoastoffroad
      @rightcoastoffroad  3 года назад +1

      @deranged they can be removed, but it wouldn't be super quick unless you are handy with a pair of push pin pliers. You wouldn't have to unbolt or unscrew anything though.

    Did you have any issues with alignment? My rear guards did not seem to lineup with the predrilled holes at all. I had to drill out new holes in the guards. In the end it worked and I love them, but just advance notice for anyone looking to get these. Maybe I should have called or retruned but at that point they were already half on so just made it work.

      We did. They are great springs. We took them off to test our tender springs that we are about to release. We now have the full stock setup back on the machine to do an install video of our tender springs soon.

      ULTRA Max Coverage front fenders add 9.5 inches of additional coverage above your front tire, 8 inches in the middle of your front fender, and 9.5 inches behind your front tire! The rear fender flares add 6 inches of additional coverage in front of your rear tire, follows your rear fender tapering down to 5.5 inches above your rear tire, and then adds 5 inches of extra coverage beside the rear tail light!
