I can relate with your comment that old bikes are legend. Say for an example, the older version of hayabusa (2007) had the maximum speed of 350 kmph, but now a days it has been reduced to 300 kmph. The power of the machine also got reduced as compared to the older version of same motorbike.
the original hayabusa 1999-2000/1 had the top speed of 340 kmph on the speedo meter...after the gentleman's agreement in 2001 end all the hayabusa have come with 300 kmph speedo
More speed is not always more fun. Remember, anything above 150kmph on indian roads is not safe at all.
Doesn't look like a 18 years old motorcycle at all. Really these technological masterpieces don't age. 👍

Congrats Kishore on this purchase and Thank you Vikas for this video! Looks splendid and seems to be in decent condition too! I wish he makes a video on how it bought this and the negative issues or problems if any. This is a first generation I guess. So his 700km ride including heating issues etc may be there and and information related to purchase etc will be very useful for the rest of us. :)

In my opinion buy a brand new superbike from a reputed brand which gives you relaible superbike. Perfectly takecare of it in terms of service. Trust me you will be able to ride without any fear of bike breakdown. I understand u will have to spend more to buy a brand new bike. But its worth it. Used superbike is a gamble. We dont know how it was maintained plus parts availability and doubts in your mind on long ride will spoil your mindset while riding for long distance. I also dreamed of superbike and picked up a brand new Kawasaki Z900 in 2021. I have maintained it like a baby and till date in 2years 11 months of ownership put up 27k kms. Its a delight to ride this smooth inline 4 machine. Never have any concerns on long rides, I just enjoy the nature and at times of situation permits touch good speed for a short while and settle at easy 120kmph. People say old is gold but end of the day its old and used and may be abused and can break down. Further in used market they use this term old is gold to sell the old bikes quickly to emotional and novice superbike dreamers.

These bikes are legends.... A modern bike is about riding a computer and not a motorcycle which is very much disappointing.... And the main culprit is th S1000RR... This German seduced every other manufacturer with all creepy electronics which is disgusting....

I do that too.. for extra protection on impact.. the pads in jacket won't suffice

Yes these bikes are cheap, but there s a reason they are cheap. I had bought a used 2001 Busa for 3.50 lakhs last year and trust me from day 1 there was some issue or the other from uneven idle to you name it. Yes they are a dream when they run properly, but that s few and far in between. Why do you think these bikes come back on the used market so soon after the purchase?To anybody romanticizing buying these bikes and hoping ownership experience is going to be like a new bike of today's era.. Please know you're better off buying a 2012-13 onwards bike, not a decade old Jap Sportsbike. Or better still wait till you ve saved enough for a new one on EMIs. Trust me the difference is really telling when time for maintaining these old examples come.

Buying old superbikes from brands like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki is better because they are more reliable as compared to old bikes of Ducati, Aprilia, BMW, MV Agusta, KTM, Triumph, Benelli and Hyosung.
