I lived in Santiago for a year and a half and plan to visit again in November! If you're staying in Providencia, a restaurant I'd recommend is La Yunta. They have really unique sandwiches that were always super tasty. I haven't been in 4 years, so hopefully it's still good!
The Uber driver asked you if you are travelling to the south of Chile in your staying, cause is consider by many the most attractive here, by its beautifuls landscapes, national parks and small cities 🌈 good video btw!

Hi! I don’t know if you already have a schedule. But I really recommend going to the top of Costanera Center, go to Cerro San Cristobal (San Cristobal Hill) and eat at the top some mote con huesillo. If you like sports, a typical trekking is going to the top of the Cerro Manquehue (Manquehue hill). If you want to go to “Sanhattan” (which is the area surrounding the Costanera Center) that’d be Tobalaba, El Golf, Alcantara, Escuela Militar, Manquehue metro stations. But If you want to go to see the night city, I really recommend you to go to The “Barrio Italia”, you’ll found a lot of restaurants and shops. There’s also “Barrio Bellavista” but at least for me in these years has gotten dangerous so if you are alone traveling here I don’t recommend it (I like it but not being alone). Those are the regular places that I reccommend my foreign friends :). And if you like to go where the people go to buy things for their frigde with cheap prices, go to La Vega 😜 That’s it! Hope you have a great time here 😊
@@Mansahx mid town, down town of you want typical chilean food, there are the fast chilean food like completos, our version of hot dog, and many sandwishes like barros luco (beef and cheese) or chacarero (beef and alot os veggies). And the "homelike" places where you can eat thing more like we cook at home, good prices for the food, all in mid and down town Santiago. For example a chilean fast food chain is Domino (nothing to do with domino's pizza)
I really enjoyed the video, the images, the music, the hamburguer, the poor man’s steak, etc, etc…. and your kind comments. I thank you infinitely for taking the time to record and publish about Chile, especially coming from such a wonderful country as the United States; spectacular landscapes, cities and people !! I hope, with all my heart, that you enjoyed your stay. A big hug 🇨🇱
Ten una buena estadía aquí en Chile ❤ and always have caution, with the migration of near countries (illegal inmmigration) Chile became more insecure 😢 and I don't recommend you to eat in street food places, because many of them are not Chilean and dont have food safety standards (Chilean people usually dont eat in that places). You should try "Pastel de choclo" , a very good tasting dish of the culture of Chile.
I enjoyed watching your video. I hope you enjoyed cooking all that food and going out to eat authentic dishes. Did you end up going to Patio Bellavista? It's full or restaurants and fun shops. Thanks for sharing. 🤩

If you travel again to Chile, go south, the landscapes and the citys are amazing, specially Valdivia and Puerto Varas i recommend Valdivia for the river, some ppl call it the city of tears, cuz rains everywhere, no matter if is 20° and in the summer, 2 hours and boom, rain, soo take an umbrella, and if you go more south visit "TORRES DEL PAINE" you wont believe what your eyes are seeyin, its like photoshop landscapes. Take care, i like your style of videos so new sub here.
I always hate when tourist do videos of Chile and they put freaking salsa or caribbean music. CHILE, ARGENTINA AND URUGUAY ARE NOT CARIBBEAN SALSA FESTIVAL COUNTRIES.
Youre right, but dont forget that Americans put all Latins into the same sack so for them theres no difference between Mexico and Argentina, or Chile and Dominican Republic. They just follow a stereotype, the same thing we do with Arabic countries, we think they all ride camels, face covered women and men carrying a machine gun under their clothes...
@@dieglhixNo it’s not. I’m talking about the music of the first seconds of the video, which is Mexican, not Chilean at all. You’re talking about the music of the rest of video which is indeed the most heard nowadays in Latin America, reggeaton and so on.
