You are missing the point conceptually there is no human driver. Unfortunately, since this is a concept car it mostly just for looks unless the OEM/software for autonomous driving is libel for the driving via insurance. Only one company has that in place in a few locations. Luckily, for this OEM they may be willing to license full self driving when it is ready.
The whole point of cars like this is, that in theory they can be much saver than human drivers could ever be, while also making stuff like traffic jams an annoyance of the past. Right? Sure, the concept is interesting, but I don't see what real benefit comes from having the entire steering wheel disappear and stay inaccessible for the drive. It prioritizes a few extra inches of space over possibly being ale to save lives - not only the ones inside of the car.
I feel like the reason this can drive autonomously is that because there’s so few of them, they can employ people to remotely just drive for you. Not bleeding-edge ultra tech, just VIP treatment.
