What an interesting concept. We can‘t wait to see such a ride in action!
There are speculations the Efteling (the Netherlands) will open one in 2024. They announced Spookslot will be re replaced with a new attraction, which will also be some sort of theatre viewing attraction. Fans are like 99% sure they will build this.

wooooooow out the park again!!!!! if only I had a theme park I would be ordering one right now!! INTmagin to see that floor disappear to reveal the full screen. :-). to see that resolution aww would probably make me pee my pants.. any space fit in there would be soooo sick.. Hold on a second and you'll see it show up somewhere. The first such attraction was made.
While it looks cool. It also screams nauseating if the screens aren't done right. Could be a very great thing or a horrid thing depending on how it's done. But I believe Intamin can make this a great thing.

I only would say maximze the tilt potential...I know that would put an imensse strain on the arms but the more vertival u can go the more interesting and exciting it will be really wanna feel gravity pulling....also adding an elevated eletment would help...
I am praying that Efteling's new attraction "Danse Macabre" will become this... We could dance along to the ghost Violine..

@@hamatoJade dit is geen virtuele realiteit, dit is een gigantisch bolvormig scherm. het is gewoon een simulator maar dan iets groter, past totaal niet in de efteling

One thing I don't understand is the floor dropping to reveal the dome - where does the floor actually go? Because there's a dome underneath as well as on top. I guess it retracts under the main seating ring? Also, I hope there is a drain in the bottom dome for vomit :D
The surface of the floor is a screen and closes the sphere seamlessly when lowered

Yes, that's what I understood. Looking at the construction images there are several parts of the (huge) building that could be it, but nothing conclusively so.
