They need to invent a robot DA that will actually prosecute criminals.
It will be like that automated social worker from Elysium.
It would be a Democrat robot so no change. You get what you vote for.

The robots aren't there to protect you. They're there to record you.
Exactly someone's been paying attention I'm glad to see that, they're there to record because the majority of morons that live in these big cities that commit crimes talk freely to each other especially on the subway platforms thinking that other people can't overhear them because of the environmental noise You never know who's listening, That's why a true professional criminal would never talk openly and freely about any type of heist or boost they're about to put together, The majority is amateurs and NYPD knows this and they know there's lots of information to be gained by gathering Intel and the places where the majority of these crimes take place, So instead of protecting the people and increasing the peace to protect serve and to record the public without their knowledge, oh before I forget also to commit perjury when it supports the state's case😮
nyc: replacing cops with robots and citizens with noncitizens
Right, and the businesses and residents are leaving. Like that guy from Shark Tank said, " NY is a loser state " 😂

He said in the video: it weighs 400 pounds, and while that doesn't keep people from trying to steal stuff off it, you can't just grab it and haul it off to a more discreet location. Also there was a human officer there watching it instead of anything else going on in there, so it was probably the safest thing on the subway.😅

This is comical. Like what did they expect? 🤣 In my entire 36 years of my entire life living in NYC, I’ve never seen such chaos and uptick in crime like I’m seeing now
It was really bad in the 70s & 80s too. Violent crime is nothing new in NYC. Giuliani is the only good mayor they have had since I have been alive.
NYC is a clown show , now more than before. Thing is New Yorkers are brainwashed into thinking that the city is trying hard. Most New Yorkers think that NYC is doing them a favor if they are living there.
You took the words right out of my mouth, left the Bronx years ago. Saw the writing on the wall with DeBlasio the Boso
back in the 70s 80s 90s the Mafia kept everything under control. It's funny, they had more morals and respect for other (most) people then the immigrants going into every country today.
"Behold! The portable safe! Now criminals can lift it up and take it with them!"
In truth, I don't think they were expecting anything - that would require a functioning brain.

the whole thing about privacy make no sense.
they are in public space, and the subway train records everyone, the station security cam records, police records via bodycam. they just cite privacy as a concern instead of just admitting it was a waste of money that didn't work.
i know right? people who are unaware of camera technology by default assume that the recordings are somehow damaging them. As if the hours or days of recordings of numerous people have a negative impact on each individual.
Heck, roving cameras and microphones was really the only value it even has. The garbage cans are far more useful at far less cost than these already, if you take the recording of audio and video away they are just taking up space at $12,000 a pop.
And every store you go in records you! There ain’t such thing as privacy anymore nowadays. Lol
They were talking about storing your pictures for their database, that's what the privacy concerns are about.
with that logic its okay for people to record you with their phones out openly since you are bieng recorded anyway on MTA camera
It is basically a very expensive security camera. Maybe if you replace Alvin Bragg,Kathy Hochul, and Eric Adams with a robot NYC will be safer
Wait until the Robocop 2 version comes out.

I'm a security guard that monitors about 50 cameras at the same time and hundreds of alarms at most of the places I've worked. Sometimes someone is doing something suspicious in a blind spot, and it'd be nice to have a robot move to the area. When I have to leave the desk, I can't monitor the vast majority of the complex anymore. When I get back, I have to review the camera footage to make sure nothing else happened somewhere else. Some places I also have to be checking people in and out of the building and make sure nobody sneaks in, so I can't even respond to suspicious activity unless it is actually an emergency, I just have to hope nothing bad is happening in that area until I see evidence that there is. And people get really mad when I miss something no matter how much stuff I was dealing with when it happened, or even when I say that none of the cameras were facing the direction of where the incident happened, or when I explain that I had to get up to do something else when the incident happened.
Wow that sounds really stressful !
Get a new job bud. That shit isn’t worth it.

Well, the truth is that he shows bias outside the strictures of professional journalism though he is reasonably reasonable. Some people would take issue with much of what he says.
