    I can understand the hip hop feel. Tim's favorite genre of music is hip hop, or rap. I believe the influence for this song was a Jaden Smith song. So the hip hop feel is actually there. It's also in the way he creates riffs.

    Gentlemen... I'm really sorry, but to even suggest putting any sort of vocals over this is blasphemy. Come on, this tune is incomparable and just perfect as is. Also, they tried to get a vocalist because a Lable asked them to and they hated it because it limited their artistic capacity. Eventually, they got signed by RockNation(Jay-Z's Label) earlier this year without the "crutch of vocals"(as they said). LP 4 is due to come out around November at the moment.
    Two of their songs do ft vocalists though. One is "So Strange" ft Cuco on Vocals and the second is "Look But Don't Touch" ft. Lewis Grant on vocals. The band has also done a remix of Lalala by Y2k and BBNO$, which was one of the biggest songs of 2019.
    Tim(guitar 1) does actually produce for a lot of rappers though bc rap is all him and Scott(guitar 2) listen to. Some notable tracks include "i feel 2 much" by Blackbear, "WYA" and "Feel It Coming" by Iann Dior, "Block" by Internet Money (ft. Trippie Redd and StaySolidRocky), and more. Not all of his co-writes/productions are credited from what I've seen, but I've heard him and others talk about them quite a bit.

    • @jonas8993
      @jonas8993 3 года назад

      I disagree tho, music is mostly subjective, and this piece isn't objectively perfect as it is. I personally "like" their songs but I think they could explore more stuff and vocals would help, and btw if they think that vocals limit their creative capacity or whatever that's fine but it just means that they didn't want to or weren't able to make something they liked with vocals... Obviously they could make crazy good music with some kind of vocal or something, they just don't and that's fine.

    • @mitchellwilliam95
      @mitchellwilliam95 3 года назад +7

      They asked, 'how would you even begin to put vocals over it?' Then begun having banter about the idea of it having vocals.
      They didn't say, 'THIS NEEDS VOCALS ASAP-- WITHOUT VOCALS THIS SONG IS GARBAGE.'
      Do you always just pretend to listen to people, then insert your opinion that has nothing to do with anything?

      If music is going right over people's heads, thats on the musician. Or just a shifting difference in tastes. I actually think this stuff is going into more people's heads than usual since its more measured and groovy compared to the general bland guitar wankery we find from most bands

    Why is it whenever someone listens to a song they immediately go "where's the words". I can't ever play music around anyone because the majority of what I listen to is instrumental smh

    Sheer raw talent. You don’t need to put this into a genre and lyrics would be superfluous..that riff is widely considered to be one of THE riffs of the decade..they’re all amazing but Tim Henson I’d the goat! 😍
