It's royally f*cked up, and from what I've heard, I don't think WB even paid the estates of the deceased actors to use their likenesses or bothered checking if any of them were still alive. Because one of the deep fakes they used (I think from an old live action Flash show) is not only still alive, but he only found out his likeness was used when other people asked him about the movie on social media. Seriously, this movie was a mistake on virtually every level imaginable. And if THIS is what they went ahead with, I can only imagine how much worse that cancelled Batgirl movie must have been.

You know, apparently Supergirl’s characterisation in this is actually closer to the comics. In a few of the comics, she’s apparently a really aggravated and isolated person who isn’t a huge fan of humans. She apparently never even made a secret identity for herself for years, and it probably took a bunch of encouragement from Clark to do it. In a lot of more recent things, though, she’s just seen as this super optimistic female Superman.
Not saying this makes the movie great, as comic accuracy doesn’t automatically mean good, but it’s still fun to point out.

I agree, and also Sasha was great, it's just a shame they wasted her and her Supergirl ( which they could've developed into liking humans ) if she wasn't a one time thing, it's a shame she had to be in this movie.
Especially after knowing that Supergirl was her idol and that she felt honored to play her and she hoped that Henry Cavill liked her as Supergirl, and I believe he even gave his blessings and good luck 😭 She was so passionate about this and they ruined it by having her in this movie 😭

Ezra Miller, just read Flashpoint instead, I recommend it as a better way to digest this plot. it's the comic story that the movie loosely adapts and it has a full, proper start-to-end story that also acts as a lead into the New 52 era of DC Comics. it also has a lot of moments that make the comic better on its own because it doesn't tie in to a bunch of other stuff

This actually was the first time I’ve heard about it, and it shocked me even hearing about it, and how the cameos of two versions of Superman, played by two actors who have died, have been used in the film for nostalgia bait rather than doing anything of value in the climax scene.

But, without context from the previous source materials, The Flash feels too underdeveloped in some areas like Zod, and scenes like the dead cameos are even more distracting than they already are. I choose to keep an optimistic look on the future, but I can see how people would be concerned with the type of media (or world in general) the new generation of children are going to experience.

Great idea putting that in - and it's not even accurate, because John Peters didn't want Superman to fly, so they fucked up. Of course he also said - according to Smith - that he didn't want Sups to wear his suit, but since there is the famous casting photo of Cage in the costume i'll give that one a pass 😉
