Football is hard. I played guard in a playoff game vs a small white boy private hi school running triple option and we lost. They had a 5’7” Stavros at nose tackle who used a submarine and thrash technique he would flop on the ground and thrash and tripped everybody. No flags thrown for it.

I played with two giant homeschooled twins who went on to become two giant catholic priest. They would get cry/scream mad at the rest of us if we swore, so we were just a real well behaved team that year.

In the terms of what they are talking about then peaking sometime in highschool or college is pretty normal, that is to say in terms of your social life, your sex life and generally how much you are enjoying life and making memories. If your peak is being 35 and making 100k a year with a mid girlfriend who doesn't fuck you - you didn't beat those kids who peaked in highschool at all, you just were/are a loser, lol.
