Pro tip, if your madness is zero cost, there is zero reason not to use it when you have cards that cost more than zero and you are actively trying to make room in your hand. 1:57:10 onward I was just muttering endlessly "use madness"
Good job making it as far as you did! I wish I had made the stream to remind you that you could see your next draw order (due to the frozen eye artifact you picked up early on), it may have come in handy during the heart.
And yes, just like every other slay the spire player "ooh, frozen eye, seeing the order I draw in will be super useful.... Proceeds to totally forget that relic exists*

I’d never really watched any Slay the Spire gameplay but I was glued to my seat the entire time. Reminds me a lot of HearthStone or Gwent. Looks fun.

My favorite deck I’ve used is intense defense buffs and damage equal to shield card because after a couple turns of stacking shield with the help of an endless energy or scry strat you can smack anything. It makes damage cards feel useless when my multiple hundreds of shield is translated into damage.
Came here to scream while you were looking at your draw deck with frozen eye and hoping you would get certain cards
love the channel and listen to your videos like audio books due to recent eye problems.
but will say from past slay the spire play and knowledge heavy blade only scales better after being upgraded than most 2 cost cards of high damage, would love to watch you twitch streams but have crap internet :/
Should should try a Fire Breathing/Evolve/Wound/Daze/Draw deck sometime! You get like Wild Strike and Power Through and every time you draw a status card you do mass AoE damage. It’s a fun build if you can get it going.

It's such a weird contradiction to see someone call so many things in one of the best balanced games "overpowered".
I'm so used to watching pros like reto and Rhaps chain run the heart and know everything about every synergy, this was really refreshing
Try watching Jorbs. He makes them look like kid's play.
I beat the heart 3 times, each time with a massive deck(basically as much cards as i got, never getting rid of any non-curse cards).
- Ironclad Block deck, where you just generate block without end and do damage equal to block
- Silent Shiv deck with crazy amounts of damage over the 0 energy cards
- Defect Power Deck with just an infinite amount of energy ,free draws, extra orbs and free block

Oh I love this game beat with every character, don’t really care for card games
Definitely recommend watching Jrmiah. He usually talks through his strategies and has spanked quite a few hearts
3:01:23 i know I'm YEARS late with this, but I 100% disagree. A single After Image will completely negate the Heartbeat ability, making the Silent one of the easiest Heart fights IMO
This almost has a bit of Darkest Dungeon feel to it as well. I am thinking about getting it, not sure yet though.

Man I am having trouble with the purple girl. Just getting past the first map is hard, anyone got some tips? It would be appreciated yet not necessary so I would be thankful for anyone who could assist me.
Triple check your math with her, if you fuck up your math you fuck up your run. Make sure you can get stacks of armor in your build for her, you will need it
@@JakeTalksGamesYT Ahh thanks bro, I usually never heal but with this one I feel the constant need to not get fucked in the ass. With everyone else, I just take it but this person got some performance issues, or receiving issues.
@@dictator-name6006 Best tip I have for her is patience. I tend to play defensively, tap the enemy here and there until they are low enough that switching to wrath and unloading will kill them. Some of the Retain cards are extremely strong when used this way.
Another fun build i went with is sort of a death by a thousand cuts build. got a BUNCH of that one card where if you change stances it comes back from your discard into your hand (can't remember the name right now). Then filled my deck with stance changes and defense. Unload with the discard cards, change stances, get them back, unload with them again, change stances, get them back. Not the fastest deck Ive built, but one of the most fun!
@@renegagne5670 Tbanks and I know what you are talking about with the puch card or whatever, I have tried that too but man am I bad at it. I want to make a marked deck with just hundreds of marked but I have yet to see ot through without dying.

I highly recommend checking out Griftlands. If you like games like Slay the Spire you will get a kick out of Griftlands, as it takes everything StS does to a whole new level.
