If you use lvl1 cloak you can time it perfectly with the 'power attacks' of the flagship. You can also use your hacking to counter their cloaking, hacking and mind control.
16:25 C'mon. I just saw drone control and drone recovery arm. Near the start. You would have had the best shield and the best anti missile damage combo from the start. That alone with the trusty emp the shield and Lazer as many rooms as possible you could do anything.
1:11:30 - Clearly you forgot what your Zoltan friends had told you - violence is not the way! :P (If I remember correctly, if you don't attack the rebel and try to hail them instead, it's revealed to be a moral test and the zoltan pacifists reward you. Or something like that, it's been a while since I've played.)
yup if you take the talking route they send you a zoltan dude called Envoy with maxed out stats., or give you the zoltan shield, unlock the ship he's using and grant you some scrap.
love the ftl content! only things i would have done differently is getting both halberd and heavy ion at the shop halfway through, selling pike. multiple ion stacks really well as they slightly overlap, and can instantly render any system completely disabled (for a short time ofc)i.e; resetting weapon charges, stoping ftl, or keeping their shields crippled. for combat, hacking only works when youre using it with the power button, and cloaking gives massive dodge chance against shots already fired, while preventing enemy weapon charge. also upgrading the pilot seat and engines goes a long way for a lot of bonus dodge, and not having a pilot manning your ship decreases your dodge to 0. thats enough backseat gaming from me, i cant wait to see more! the path called improvement is always a pleasure to witness, especially with your philosophy. thanks again for your content :)

If enemy shields are up and you’re using ions, it doesn’t matter which room you’re aimed at. If your ion hits, it will always affect shields

AA, if you like CDDA and kenshi you should play Caves of Qud. It’s basically a hardcore rouge like with tons of mechanics
