Brian I can't thank you enough for all your videos on the R3 and the Ninja 400 . I have done all my installs and upgrades exclusively off your videos and couldn't be happier with the results .
sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot my password. I love any help you can offer me.
@Yehuda Watson Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Checked Yamaha service manual and it's 30NM Torque for 2 bolts connecting rearset to frame, 23 NM for two bolts connecting to master cylinder and heel guard.
Just installed the Vortex rear sets that I bought from you guys on my ‘19 R3. Making this video on the install is why I went with you! It made the install very easy. One question. The rear brake line seems a bit pinched now as I used the bottom attachment points. Is this something I should keep an eye on? The rear brake seems to work great. Thanks again!
Happy to hear the video was helpful. If you want me to take a look at the rear brake line please send me a pic to service@sportbiketrackgear.com and I will let you know. - Van
Cheers for the video Brian. I had no problem with the install thanks to you, but is there a reason why you didn't grease/lubricate the double ball bearing joints like recommended by Vortex?
Sorry for the issue. If you bought these from us please shoot us an email or call and we will help you get this sorted out. orders@sportbiketrackgear.com or 888.784.4327 - Van
Cotter pin removal with side cutters is common practice for sure. It is all about the feel with the tool in the end. Squeeze just hard enough to manipulate it and pull it out. Have been doing this for over 30 years now. - Brian Van
Does anyone know if these require you to move your brake fluid reservoir or buy a aftermarket brake light switch? I look on the site and it says you need the aftermarket switch but further in the comments you say it doesn't need the after market switch.
@@sportbiketrackgear Thanx for the response. Do you happen to have any tips for removing the brake like switch from the OEM rearsets footguard without stripping the bolts? I don't know what they torqued those things to but it must be infinity. I was able to remove the rearsets from the frame easy enough but that switch is a completely different story. I even tried using the socket adapter and WD-40 but it won't budge and feels like it's bout to strip out bc those bolts are made of paper

Always make sure you shake up blue Loctite as it separates while sitting!!!! Green and Red Loctite are clear and do not require shaking, just saying.
Good point and thanks for sharing. - Brian Van
I didn't know that and have been doing it wrong all these years, thanks for the heads up!

We normally do grease these, it is possible that we had more than one take installing this and it got cut out. Thanks for watching! - Van
Great video
I’m missing one of two F-101s bolts. Is everyone missing this? How do I get that sent to me since it was completely not in the package

Great video, thanks for sharing. Probably not a good idea to using cutting pliers at 22:36 though.

This kit allows you to reuse your factory brake light switch and return spring. We show this in the video. - Van

You can flip it for GP Shift no worries. - Brian Van
Going from the stock rear sets to these, do I have to bleed my rear brake?
No need to bleed the brakes. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear What about the rear brake light, isn't there a replacement for it or will the stock one work as well?
