2005 honda cr-v replaced
new struts
new cv axles
tie rods
ball joint
transmission mount oem honda
rear motor mount oem honda
front motor mount was cracked so i thought found the problem replaced with duralast brand mount but engine and whole car still shake on hard acceleration.
If you're still having this problem, I've been looking at aftermarket PERFORMANCE engine mounts. A company called Hasport makes the rear and passenger side engine mount and a transmission mount using steel/aluminum and urethane in various hardnesses. They eliminated the front mount as the three they produce is sufficient on their own.
The transmission mount is identical to the RSX (automatic CR-V uses the automatic RSX transmission mount; manual CR-V uses manual RSX transmission mount). The Acura RSX front mount is also identical but there's a manual and automatic version like with the transmission mount.
The passenger side mount and rear mount similar to the RSX but not interchangeable.
Anyway, I thought I'd share this as I'm getting some vibration on acceleration. I'm planning on doing some performance upgrades on my CR-V as it's nearly identical to my RSX.
Seems like a shudder in transmission torque converter. I had same in my 2005 crv. Replaced 3.5l old dirty fluid with new+ instant shudder fixx. Made the shudder go away for the most part. Still a soft shudder, but much less often.
It amazes me how many CR-V owners are having this same problem, and no one posts the ultimate fix so that others can stop wasting soo much of their hard earned money and time chasing this down. I have a 2006AWD with the 5sp manual trans. I have changed the CV axles, control arms, all motor mounts, removed the rear wheel drive shaft. Still shakes like a bandit when accelerating. I will get to the bottom of this, and post the results. I am afraid either there is a major trans or engine issue. What a nightmare!
Did you use Honda CV axles? Many aftermarket cv axles suck and will not fix the problem. I am getting ready to get mine replaced soon. Our mechanic immediately knew the issue. I will post soon to let you know if it fixes the problem.
@@mtbse789 i did use Honda OEM axles and that helped a lot. The aftermarkets dont have the right clearances. I do believe that my underlying condition it an engine unbalance. Its in the shop now getting a valve lash adjustment
Anything yet?

HEADS UP. If anyone is here looking for an update on how this particular issue was rectified, also what were the parts that needed replacement along with the PROPER METHOD to diagnose if you have the same issue as what was shown in the video, I am also one of you...
Please what do need to work on
Check and replace the front axles , also check the rear transmission mount .
Aftermarket axles are trash well most of them , genuine are the way to go sadly or Detroit axle makes some quality ones that have worked as the axle play in the inner shaft is a lot tighter fitted
Not sure if you fixed but it is definitely your motor and trans mounts. That engine is moving waaay to much just did the job for the 2nd time on my 05 automatic 4x4. My front rear and the transmission driver side was all destroyed. She runs smoooooth now just has a vibration at idle that I'm trying to track down.
I'm having an issue with rough idle and can't figure it out. Have you had any luck?
@davidstamper5305 I have cleaned the entire throttle body and it didn't help a bit. I think I have a head gasket issue as I just found oil leaking on my rear one. Time to take to dealer warranty repair
Replace your CV axles with Honda axles. My mechanic immediately knew the issue when he drove mine. Getting it done soon and will let you know the results.
It's been 12 months
I have this problem too any fix ?
Change your transmission oil. If it helps, do it two more times.
I have a honda crv 2003 I replace the passenger axle and 2 front shock i used duralast i notes that the shock are not good i going to replace with the old one
what was the fix?! dealing with this
have you check transmission motor mount?
i replaced all 3 motor mount and transmission mount, later i see on forum has to be oem honda mount. i bought oem mount replaced again nothing changed. still shake like crazy.
@@ahmetozan18 well maybe that the inside of the engine.
Possibly transmission solenoid? Im having the same problem
2002 CR-V just noticed I have a bad transmission mount but seeing how you replaced almost all the possible areas I too am stumped.
My o5 Crv shakes but it feels on the front tires can’t fucking tell what it is I’m just going crazy 😝 I know I need new tires so far it’s like pretty much when driving at 40 and passing bad roads things like that the car shakes it I let go the gas pedal the shakes stop
Any fix same here on 2005 Honda Pilot
I changed all my mounts its still doing it
Got 05crv too. Transmission mount turned out to be the problem.
I have the same problem on my 2003 crv I replaced all mounts and still the same, also I replaced the engine a year ago and with the old and new engine still shakes.
@@hectorsanz6870 clean idler intake valve or try to look for other problems in the airway. Throttle,.. think of how coughing jerks ur whole body.
@@tomasashenafi882 hmm anyone know?
Coilspark plug..
I changed mine still doing it
That is a bad vtec valve or bad oil do the vsa light came out when thst happen? Mine did the same i was about to change the valve but i change the oil 5w 30 and now is running good. (Good luck )
If you don't know you should shut your mouth
you mislead people
Have you been able to find the problem key ?
i replaced the struts with cheap ones before later i bought moog brand replace them again vibration went away but there still a little shake when take off hard i assume bad cv axles replaced them 5 times no luck i guess has to be genuine honda axle and i dont want to spent 700 for that ill just drive it as is
Prince335i mine linda shakes but the tires on the rear looks like the one on the driver side it’s slipping I think the differential oil it’s getting contaminated idk 😐 mine shakes on idle as well when I’m on D sitting in traffic if put in park the car feels smooth
That seems like a bad axle or wheel hub bearing
It's it engine dhock
Do not do anything all new cvt transmission in Honda like that
