The build quality on the LTD is definitely next level stuff. Why don't you reach out to the JAM custom shop? They can easily come up with a custom look for you without the leather (or even just mount it in a standard Rattler enclosure if you like). They are really great to work with and I'm sure they will find a way to make it work for you :)
Just when you think you don't need another gain pedal. That maxed up sound is exactly the sound I always hoped to find in a pedal. Maybe for once it's a good thing that I can't afford it. Hurts though. :-(
Had a small problem with this pedal , but jam pedals don't like it if you're unhappy. Maybe I'll be getting a few more jamsters just for looking after me , i appreciate the effort, Mr. Jam thankyou
From the procos.. you Dirty rat... from all rats.. skinner box and gorilla.. an old rattler I played was magic.. the actuall model nice but a huge bass cut for my taste.
Great review Jay as always.. so as you have played both rattles which one feels you prefer? And which is the most dynamic from both?? I hear the ltd is more hairy.. but I would like to know if it respons superbly on the picking attacks.. interested on the high gain ;) thnx
@@JayLeonardJ I know what you mean. A second hand LTD reached my home yesterday.. low gain transparent and dynamic.. high gain full, dynamic and edgy as you said.. I stil hear some velvetness of the standard Rattler.. That's def. a nice thing. I ll check it out with the band. I think it has the potential to win all my rats. Anyway, I try not to buy boutique and expensive pedals.. but this one I can recommend to anyone even at the price of new... Keep your great job Jay!!
You always put a big smile on my face when I hear you play.
Cheers Jay, keep on doing...
Incredible for me to watch. Tx for doing this! So entertaining.
The guts of that pedal look awesome!
i'm surprised we haven't seen more leather-covered pedals before
Awesome playing !! great Sounding Pedal 👍
Appreciate it! I really dig that one.
@@JayLeonardJ your welcome Jay ! Man you are an absolutely awesome Guitarist.
Defo ProCO RAT2 on green PCb Motorola LM308N 1987. It’s my second one (first gone lost). That’s my favourite. I’m curious comparison.
My fav RAT is the RAT DueceTone. All the versions in one extra large box!!
Wow, cool pedal and as usual very cool demo Jay (nice discreet tribute to EVH). Greetings 🌸
God I love this channel. Cheers from Chile!!
You rock! Loved the Radiohead.
Jaysus i listened to this clip with the headphones. Almost shit my pants! What a tone!
Really appreciate it!
Yup, my Dut Beardy Outlaw can do all of this, and even more. The favourite one.
I went back and watched an older video of yours the other day, and holy smokes your tele definitely shows a bit more wear these days 😂
That price tag tho, $450 USD... ouch
Check out the ehx flatiron fuzz. Its their version of a rat circuit and its $80 I believe
I can’t decide between the normal rattler and this one! I don’t like the leather so much but I like the build quality and components.
Help me 😬

The year of the Rat has had so many surprises!
*Leather pedals = 80s guitargasms*
1981 Inventions DRV is my RAT-ish pedal of choice. Love it!

What was wrong with it?
Cosmetics only damaged in shipment replaced no questions asked
@@jeremybanks9007 awesome. I'm glad it wasn't anything serious :) I'm thinking about buying the LTD but.. man it's steep..
@@XxXHardcoreshredderxXXxxxxxxxx I just used a jhs ratpak lots of sounds if you want jam and have $ get one
I'd like to see a comparison with the DRV.
The JHS modded one with the ratpack mod!
Killer, but I'll have to stick with the regular one :0)
Sounds really good! Great playing ;)
That sounds so damn good!
A I R B A G ✌
Pedal sound great but way out of most folks Price range.

I would say that the standard Rattler has a more organic amp like response but I actually prefer the edge and feel of the LTD!

Great low gain tele tone... extra spanky.
$587 Canadian ......really ......lol
That's a bitch' shirt Jay!
And I am rockin' the hell out of it 🤘
@@JayLeonardJ Haha, right on man!
Killing inocent animals for getting that unecesary leather for a distortion pedal?? Fucking cruel!!
Yes, and for extra 500$ you can choose the cow you want
...and my meals (animals are tasty), oh my shoes, many medications, the bag I bought two days ago...
Animals are meant to be killed, eaten. So what's the big deal?
How do you know that that animal was innocent? For all we know, it could have been a serial killer.
@@tinyb69 Spot on mate. Animals in Australia are always wanting to kill. Especially humans.
