Hi Jaime Im from South Africa. But I really enjoy watching your cooking videos. I hope you are doing a Christmas meal too. Would love to see that. Keep well and good bye from sunny SA 🌞🌞
Looked good. I would mix the potatoes and stuffing together. I do that when I get hungry for Pa Dutch filling, but no time. Might be good with the chicken mixed in also. You could spray the tops to brown slightly.
Oh my gosh oh my gosh!! It's here it is always my favorite episode-video every year I first video I ever watched on your channel was your Thanksgiving Video 2 years ago and I think I've watched every pretty much everyone of them since thanks Jamie for all your videos your cooking your the weekly grocery shopping your thoughts and your wholesomeness and reliability.... I always look forward to the Sunday night shopping Halls, creativity and I always get some tips what I will buy each week at my home you have an incredibly terrific family and a a special husband that really seems to support you I look forward to all your videos in the coming year
I love anything pumpkin! I love the meal you came up with. Looks delicious! I love this time of year because I was actually born on Thanksgiving in 1965.. this time my birthday falls on the day after, and I will be with family, so i feel so blessed! Thanks for sharing your meal with us!!
Thank you for sharing these.. I think they are fun but I usually do not by many food staples at my $ store. I find that where I live $ tree is higher then going to Aldi & Walmart… pumpkin pie is my all time favorite! FYI if you cannot find spice cake mixes, use white/yellow cake mix & add cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice, ginger to the mix. This will give you the warm autumnal flavors. You can also make a yummy gingerbread to by adding more ginger & molasses. There is so much you can do with a box cake! Thanks again! 😊
really nice ! you can always change it up a bit, personally i might have layered it in a pan and put biscuit on top like a pot pie❤cranberries n gravy on side… that way it presents more like a meal .. a nice comfort warm meal on any winter night👍
Very interesting experiment for the challenge! 😍 One year I made a chicken and dressing casserole since it wasn't a big family meal. At first I thought you were going to combine the chicken with the stuffing before placing in the biscuit. But I didn't know you had that much stuffing and potatoes left. I don't know that you needed the biscuits really. You could have stacked all the ingredients in the muffin tins and they would have baked off without the biscuits. I've actually done that before. You really need Paula Deen's Gooey Butter Pumpkin Cake or pie recipe, whichever it's called. But it starts with a yellow cake mix and you add a stick of butter. And that's just the crust. The next layer has pumpkin, cream cheese and I think powdered sugar (all these are found at DT). People who don't like pumpkin pie are crazy about it! I'll be sure to send you the recipe, it's so scrumptious! I still haven't added chocolate to anything pumpkin. I've never had it before and not sure I would like it. I'm pretty traditional when it comes to pumpkin. I love pumpkin pie 🥧, cake, bread and the usual things. I usually use pumpkin pie spice when making them and I don't care for cinnamon and chocolate. So maybe that's why I haven't tried pumpkin and chocolate. But to each their own (just don't add chocolate to Paula Deen's Gooey Pumpkin thingy). 😉 All in all, not a bad result in using DT products. ☺️ I saw where someone suggested doing an $18 challenge using Aldi products. But considering you used a can of chicken from DT, I'm not sure how that would work. And the whole point of the challenge was to see what you can make using just DT products. But it would still be interesting to know what a Thanksgiving dinner would cost from Aldi. I've seen previous DT challenges before and you've always done a great job! Even considering the price increase, still not bad. Thanks for sharing another great video! 🥰
Awesome as always. I'm lucky, I have a choice where I can buy my groceries but for someone who can only shop at Dollar Tree this is a great menu!! I love this idea because I live alone and will never make a full blown holiday dinner but making individual servings and storing the rest in the fridge is right up my alley!!
This is actually looks good 🤤🤤🤤 I’m gonnna try it with turkey and no stuffing . I like all your videos but I have to be honest I’m bias your dollar tree videos are the best because your so creative !
An ice cream scooper would give you a more moulded looking muffin. Also adding some of the pumpkin spice mix or just use some cinnamon, cloves ,ginger and or allspice would give your muffins even more delicious flavour.
Hi Jaime! I remember your original video from a previous year and I reread your blog post---you are wonderful! God bless you and your family and Happy Thanksgiving :) I really think you have helped alot of people of all circumstances.
This are very good . I called them Thanksgiving puffs. They were delicious. I served them with cranberry sauce They were great ,day after lunches. I just did mine a little different. If you want them to rise, too with the stuffing, not potatoes. Mix the potatoes with the turkey.
I look forward to your holiday cooking ideas from the dollar tree every year.👍👍💗this was a good one for sure 😊 I saw the same idea with waffles in a waffle maker. If it includes mashed potatoes it has to be good...or pumpkin...both are yummy 😋. We broke from the green bean casserole and have been using broccoli instead with a sprinkle of cheese. Definitely a winner on $$! Average cost at Kroger for Thanksgiving dinner is $64. They are like a mini pot pie 😳😊😋
For over a decacde we have done baked spaghetti, salad and garlic bread for Christmas dinner...nothing to do with cost...but we have a realllllly big family and not all can arrive at the same time...its just easier and I get to spend time with family rather than cooking...now, they all ask if we are doing baked spaghetti and salad for Christmas...people just get to wound up in "tradition"... Thanksgiving is always a turkey, mac and cheese, baked corn, mashed, stuffing and green beans..but I by on sale all year so its pretty affordable
You can roll Bisquick just like you do any other dough by using a little bit of flour so you absolutely could have rolled those out and cut them into squares just like the biscuit dough that's in the rolled up container. You need to buy a box of Bisquick because on the back it has rolled and dropped biscuits both and you can also use the biscuit dough on top of stew and cook them as dumplings. Bisquick is a basic baking mix that with just a few added ingredients you can turn it into anything.
I like the idea of the stuffed biscuits, but you might need to tweak it just a bit. Maybe roll out and cut your biscuits, do as someone suggested and make it more of a shepherd’s or cottage pie with potatoes on top, add some gravy or cheese to the finished product. These are just a few suggestions.
I've tried to shop at our dollar tree. Everytime I go there they have basically nothing but snack food, gift wrap & plastic wear. Never seen eggs or garlic bread let alone a full box of cake mix, milk or real cheese. It's all basically non edibles or barely edible.
I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin pie .I like pumpkin bars tho . I make them using all organic ingredients and also gluten free .This yr will prob make a small roast if I am home . And it will also depend on if my mom lives by then or not cos may be on the road traveling since she is in hospice care and they gave her maybe a week at best.
This was good. I'd rather have seen a traditional meal here like stuffing mashed taters green bean casserole and some sorta protein source (can chicken maybe)

Pumpkin pie 🥧 is my favorite Thanksgiving dessert
Pumpkin pie all the way! Sweet potato pie is good, too.
I use chicken or turkey can be canned, can of mixed veggies, chicken or turkey gravy in casserole dish, top with biscuits. Easy and cheap
How about doing a $18 Aldi Thanksgiving meal
I'd TOTALLY watch that! I LOVE Aldi! 💜
Love aldi also
This was great! Love videos like this!

We love canned pumpkin with chocolate cake mix... it makes a wonderful moist cake.. I may try YOUR recipe with the chocolate chips.♥
Looked good. I would mix the potatoes and stuffing together. I do that when I get hungry for Pa Dutch filling, but no time. Might be good with the chicken mixed in also. You could spray the tops to brown slightly.
Pumpkin pie is my all time favorite dessert. I eat it all year round 😄
Awesome meal for a small price!!

Pumpkin pie is my favorite Thanksgiving dessert too. My ex (who is from the South) and our kids prefer sweet potato pie.

Butter and milk are stables. I don't think you need to count that in your total. And seasonings
May I request an economical way to feed a crowd of teenagers for a Church youth group Christmas ⛄🎄 party? Thank you in advance 🙏
