    Wow, I’m happy. I saw your video. I was just about to buy one of these now. Definitely not even if they resolve the issue forget that.😢

      Yeah. I am currently trying to get some sort of fix from Okai. We will see if they are willing/able to help.

    Ha.. Yes, the suspension is way too stiff on the Panther -- it ruins the off road ride and vibrates the front end steampunk suspension loose. I spoke with Okai tech who told me he rode the original prototype Panther and it had soft suspension, was great. He doesn't understand why they changed -- an engineering mistake. Change out the bad Okai spring shocks to DVI Topaz air (on sale) so 3 shocks is still cheap enough to warrant the trouble (Okai tell us what size / spec will work!). Note that mine had a charging issue (would only charge up to 85% but Okai hooked me up with a new battery and charger via warranty (thank you). I changed out the brake pads, font and rear to resin ORGANIC pads.. now it's totally quiet. Forget Metallic or Ceramic.. they suck on this scooter / Nutt calipers. I really like my Panther but have now resigned myself to VERY MILD off road (like soft smooth sand or dark brown smooth hardpack) and pavement. Anything with rocks, like Iggy says.. is no fun. It's a big bummer because Okai is sitting on something that could be great, it is so close.... but the suspension needs help and there is no easy remedy.

      Yes, it is a shame on the suspension. I still haven't received support from Okai on my issue. Thank you for letting me know about your battery issue. Will help me decide what to do next.

      @@QuantiQualification They will honor the warranty and fix it. You may have to get your dealer / distributor involved to nudge them along but they'll take care of obvious issues.

    TENGO EL MIO DESDE HACE 6 MESES Y ES VERDAD, LA SUSPENSION ES RIGIDA , Y EL PROBLEMA DE TENER QUE DESARMAR LA TAPA DE BATERIA POR SI SE TE CIERRA SON DETALLES CONSIDERABLES , DE AHI EN FUERA MI SCOOTER SIGUE BIEN Y VALE LA PENA, LAMENTO EL INCONVENIENTE QUE TIENES. OKAI DEBE RESOLVERTE.

    If you have battery voltage, your controller is probably bad

      @@PeterDiCapua You are probably right. I am getting absolutely no help from Okai itself. I will give them one last chance to help out before . . .

    Did you put. Voltmeter on it to see if the battery has any charge, or it the power switch is working (if it has one). Maybe even a blown fuse? Things normally don't break from leaving a battery disconnected

    • @QuantiQualification
      @QuantiQualification  2 месяца назад +1

      Great points. The battery was at around 76% when I pulled it. I subsequently fully charged it when it failed to start up. I did check the main terminals with a Voltmeter and it read a strange 3 Volts. I think it may be related to a safety mechanism to prevent starting a fire if shorted since it is removable and comes to full voltage once connected. It could be just a dead battery as well which would be very sad since the battery is almost new. I have not messed with the electronics of the scooter such as the start button etc. at this time.

    • @j4zzx297
      @j4zzx297 2 месяца назад +1

      You would expect it to have a online fuse to protect the controller from power surges. That would normally be on a cable under a cover going from the battery connector, to the board or motor (battery removed). Not sure how confident you would be opening that up to check if it has one, to see if it's blown. You would need to be careful when touching anything with power still in it.

      I am working with the manufacturer to see if they will be able to resolve it/or willing to help me. If that fails, I will dig into the electronics. I will probably put out a video if I do so, in case anybody wants to see what is inside. Any thought on the 3V reading from the battery main terminals? I was expecting around 60V!

      I haven't yet given up fully on Okai but I am struggling to get them to tell me next steps to fix it. If they don't respond, I may have to open it up and see what went wrong. Might be the battery in which case I am sunk.
