Roger is such a cool guy, i love his passion and his attention to detail. The best part is he loves to drive his orange machine all over, and has quite a history with VW's! Love to see what he does if he gets his hands on the bus!!
Two things, first the day you did the video on the playmobil VW"s I ordered the Van, and was saving it till my 5 yr old grandson came over. We had so much fun putting it together!!! He loved all the accessories that came with it. The Bug will be for another special time.
Second thing I did that I think is a pretty cool old school mod I did on my 1980 westfalia. Since going to the 16 inch wheels back in 2015 and then the rear disc brakes last summer, I can no longer use the original 14 in spare, and the 16 in wont fit in the clam shell under the front, so I bought another 16 in rim and tire, and mounted it on the the nose!! It looks like the old busses that has there spare there, and I bought a appropriate hippy lookin peace and love tire cover!! Love it so much better than a swing away career on the back!!!
So go tell your aunts and uncles about VW Life!!!

"Monday i've got thursday on my mind!" Thanx again for this wonderful vlog and the funky muzak this time. Boooootiful. Roger is a legend, indeed - but i would have liked to see and hear also something about the lovely blue Doka (the "Doppelkabine", as we say here in Germany, which means double-cabin). They are very popular here, because workers and little factories used them - and do even still nowadays, because they are so solid and undestructable somehow. What a nice car...

I own the only VW t2 left in Albania and I am trying to restore it myself little by little from scratch .. we have plenty of VW beetles but none vw buses ... @@jwhrivnak it's super easy just google it. We use a measuring tape to do it.
Awesome. There's a 74 thats been sitting in a front yard close to my house that I have had my eye on for over 10 years. The owner is elusive, but told me that he wanted the engine and tranny out of it for a dune buggy and that I could have it after he took it out. He's 72 and told me that over a year ago. So far, it's still sitting there. Sigh
Just keep on him and it will pan out. Tell him how bad you want it. Pull at his heart strings

I believe I have searched that whole website, but I could not find where to order the "birth certificate " from. Can you or someone walk me through to where to find that? I see all about taking a tour there etc... but couldn't find where to order the certificate. I even went to the "contact us" screen and couldn't get a straight answer.

I wish one day having the opportunity to visit you guys over there in Texas. Unfortunately, the currency is too expensive for me now. Maybe onde day, you may come to visit my country Brasil (Brazil) I Hope you know, Brasil was one of the biggest VW producers in the world. We have so many people that love beetle (Fusca in Brazil) and Bus (Kombi in Brazil). Maybe one day my Jackson. Me and my wife will be glad to meet you.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in
the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems,
turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and
New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be
done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. Problem is China, China told our EU politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic after 2030...I am sure the UK also will be forced by China to 120% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China....:-(
well we have several years to enjoy them, might as well focus on the present
