Casting Brass | Sand Rammer - 3D Printed Pattern
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 24 июл 2024
- For awhile I wanted to make a sand rammer for ramming up my sand molds. I have also wanted to try casting some brass. These two things came together when I decided to design and cast a sand rammer in brass using a 3D printed pattern.

Your story telling style is both engrossing and unique. Thanks for raising the bar.
09:05 had to rewatch this 10 times.. made my day
Well Done ! A mini-Masterclass on almost every aspect of Casting. Thanks for sharing !
That is so cool!! The black paint on the brass hammer was a fantastic touch!

I'm learning a lot from your casting videos!!! so far I believe you do the best casting with the most narration. thanks for the knowledge
Thanks for watching!
Outstanding work +Brian Oltrogge! Just discovered your channel a couple days ago and I'm really enjoying your vids. Brilliant, thanks for sharing your stuff! Keep em' coming please!
The monotone comedy got me and I have watched this before without noticing it haha love it and awesome castings
Very well done, both of those are gorgeous! Fantastic work.
I really like it that you shared the entire proces and dit not left out details. This is why im subscribed;)
Wow, that's incredible work.. it's so awesome that you can prototype and make basically whatever you want, from a 3D model all the way to metal. Thanks for the video!
This is only the second video I have seen of your work, very interesting and well done. I look forward to watching more. Thanks !
it really is satisfying when you make things by hand the first few times until you get inspired by somethng else and never get back to it....well worth the film time.....well worth the watching.
Love the logo treatment! Also, that hi-fill primer on a 3d-print is an excellent tip, thank you.
You've made so many cool videos. This is probably one of my favorites.
Beautiful design, high precision and great editing. You are a real artist!
A piece of art as well as a useful tool - Congrats !
You have some of the prettiest shop tools keep up the good work
Truly, a thing of beauty, as so many of your projects are.
+Peter T Thank you!
Great video made of great design, production and explanation. Must feel very nice to work with these knowing you are the only one on the planet to have one!
You are amazing, Brian! One of the TV networks needs to hire you.
Your videos are amazing Brian. Congratulations
8:40 "I'll highlight the grip detail with black paint" Admit it, you just didn't want to file out all the tarnish, so you just painted over it. :-D turned out very nice though.
My intention was to not have to file it at all in the grooves but I had to because of the mold lines. Then I had bright brass showing through the tarnish. Flat black paint became the obvious solution for making the grip detail the same color!
GREAT Job!!! Those are beautiful.
Very nice work. Love watching your videos! Keep doing what you do.
Amazing work! The finished products look incredible!
Awesome project as always I can't wait to see the next one !👍👍👌😀
What a treat for a Sunday night.
I Don't know how you manage to do it Mr Oltrogge, but you always manage to surprise me with such a great video. Thank you

Nice smooth Finish as expected Great Work Again love these videos.
Congrats!! One of the best channels y have met with... beautifully lighted, directed, clear & concise. ( no stupid music in the background...haha! )

Mexico City.
Love your work and production, really top class. Cheers Blaisey
+Blaise Brogan (Blaiseintrees) Thanks!
As always, great job!
I like the way how first U letter resembles smiley face. :)
Excellent build as ever.
I love the noises from the sped up tapping segments! Very nice results, the fine sand first around the print master is a good idea I'm going to use when I make a sort of 3d printed desk from lattice like modular pieces. It will have an aluminum subframe for reinforcing the desk which will be cast from a 3d printed part, and the rest of the modules will be made out of resin using a silicon mold made also using 3d printed parts.
+Shannon Williams Sounds awesome! Good luck!
this guy has done a fair amount of ramming. subbed.
I have zero use for something like this but after watching it be made I want one... Awesome work
I always love your projects. You make it look easy, but I know better....

Great job, Brian!
I really like the trick with using high build automotive primer to fill in the print lines. I'm going to give that a try on my next casting.
Beautiful work.
Looks great!

Wow, I like how you used the 3d printer for molds, great idea!
