I would be somewhat concerned about the crack. Even if the insurance company is willing to continue coverage, I would want more investigation done as to the cause. Is there a drainage problem. Is the land subsiding? Also, will the insurance cover full costs if the crack began to widen and major structural work was needed?
there can be a huge difference, too, with a crack in a drywall wall (normal settling) and a foundation or outside wall (thats holding the building up). I wouldn't touch a house with a crack in its outer walls or foundation no matter what the insurance company said.
I don't believe I would ever buy a property tih crack problem, even though I know cracks often occur in older properties. It is just too much of a risk
All older properties will hack racks. I would be worried if you come across an old property and the owner doesn't say it has cracks. It will always have cracks! You don't want cracks, buy a newer property, lol.
@@Kevin-sm8pn I lived in an older propety for more than 30 years and it didn't have cracks but it was a high quality build - we loved that house but sold up to move to Central America

@@sonaterese799 I'm just saying not every house is perfect. There are problems with your house. It's every house. Even mine. I don't like it when someone says, "Nope! My house is perfect and has no problems!" No, it's not, and yes it does, lol.
Helen is acting like an immature little Princess and needs to grow up. She wants everything perfect and everything done her way or it's the highway. Run Paul, run.
I never saw her as immature in this search, but as the more realistic of the two about the kind of work they'd be up for. Honestly, any time I see a house look that messy when they knew they'd be on tv tells me they're both either lazy or busy and neither of those things are great indicators for the type of people who should take on a remodel.
In such a hot market, they were fortunate that their offer was accepted.

Exactly. If it's going to be an excluded condition, it's a good as uninsured.
yes, me too, it is a huge risk buying it just like they did
Yeah, well, usually all that would be done after an offer is put in, not before, lol.
Helen wanted it no matter what. She was warned, so the onus is on her.

I have so missed this show. It's no longer on BBC America. Kirsty has a sister who does a similar show in Canada. Those were the days.
What is the show in Canada called

I would not ever never buy the house with the cracked wall
so you would buy one with a cracked wall?
@@pilkers745 I see what you did there
This is a couple who I wish they would go back to in a future episode. How’s that wall doing? 😬
They did go back to see them. The house didn’t work out and they ended up buying another house.
That was how many years ago? 135 000? That is impossible today.
Poor Phil, she sooo rudely hung up on him after receiving the best news. Haha
👍👍👍 All Homes is THE channel for Location Location Location episodes. Best Volleyball is a WASTE OF TIME channel.
I think it's rich that the insurance company the couple works for is the one that covers the house with the crack. That girl could use some maturity.
She is immature in the extreme
Phil needs to survey my house. That'll give him nightmares.
And then the tears......

This is not a recent episode. Kirsty looks much younger and the house prices low.
Older episodes are going to have less of a copyright issue. If you need the newer ones, then you have to go to the source, not RUclips, lol.
Obviously. Doesn't make it less enjoyable or fun to watch.

I assume it’s the same as our inspections.
A technical inspection of the property to find any faults.
