    Hi Tiffany! The level of information that you offer takes a ton of time and dedication. Thank you for sharing a wealth of knowledge in grant writing. I have learned a plethora of information in such a short period of time. I'm watching all of your videos and sharing with my colleagues!! Blessings to you!

    First time applicant and Grant newbie. I asked for the max $5K We need the max (we need to raise 20,185) so I figured I'd shoot for the moon and hope for the best. We've raised 10K Already from private donations. Really wish I could explain our case better.

      Congrats on getting your grant in! There's a channel for nonprofits that has other fundraising videos outside of grants, if that might help (this isn't a promotion; I found the channel some time ago, and the videos look helpful), www.youtube.com/@AmberMelanieSmith

    Thanks for the insights. I’m at a statewide nonprofit with connections in several cities. Would we be able to recruit employees to volunteer from around the state or just from the local store that we apply through? (And similar question with the shopping list.)

    • @grantchatter
      @grantchatter  5 месяцев назад +1

      Nice question! I would say that your approach is from your organization's locations in each city. Since Sparkgood allows up to 25 active grants at a time per organization (but only one from a single store at a time), that will distribute the "weight" of reviewing proposals by facility managers. Same advice with the shopping list, since each facility is trying to show its local customers how it supports that local community. I hope that helps. I'm also seeing some changes since I posted this video, so another video might be forthcoming!

    This "new and improved" grant platform is the most confusing I have ever seen. This video helps to some extent but I'm still not through the set up process and I've got hours into it.

      For the specific grant opportunity from Walmart in this video, LLCs are not eligible. There is a somewhat new initiative, which I haven't studied in depth, but business.walmart dot com/learnmore/small-business has information that I hope can be helpful.

    I’m working with our local Walmart manager and we are a non profit parent organization for the private school. We we be able to apply for grant funding for much needed education & playground items?

    • @grantchatter
      @grantchatter  2 месяца назад +1

      Your nonprofit should be eligible; it's just getting through all the new hoops to register and apply. For the items, the limit is $5,000, though very, very few nonprofits will receive that much. The average grant, in my experience and research, is in the $500-$1,200 range. Your relationship with the store manager will help determine which could be the most likely items to be supported by Walmart.

    Do you apply on the deed app and do you have to be on a laptop to fill out the application

    • @grantchatter
      @grantchatter  6 месяцев назад +1

      The video walks you through it, but your organization has to be verified as legit by Deed, then go back to Walmart's SparkGood system, and then you apply. I'm used to highly-complex grant proposals for my day job, so I prefer my laptop, but the actual grant application is short enough for Walmart that you could do it on your phone. But you would still need to have your answers figured out in advance, so whatever way you prefer to keep notes, that's important. I hope that was clearer than mud! Walmart is doing something very new here.

      Isn't this a strange system?! If no one in your organization has an available cell number, I would contact the SparkGood help system. The FAQ page includes ways to contact them, walmart dot org/how-we-give/faqs

      Sounds like an "authorized issue" concern. If you go to the SparkGood FAQ page, then enter "email" in their search box at the top of the page, I think the results have the answer you need. Here's the link: www.walmart.org/how-we-give/faqs

    The new walmart platform deed/sparkgood is an absolute disaster! The grant application (if you get that far) limits the request to 100 characters - not words! A mess to use and navigate and walmart gives no help at all! Good luc

      I gave an example of a 100-character answer in the video. I hope it can help. And for the system - yes, certainly a new model of complexity. I’m watching to see how it shakes out over the next year or so.
