You should be proud of yourself for driving a different vehicle than a truck. Looks like you're enjoying being a farmer.

Really like your framing and editing. those shots of grain truck sitting on the field under the clouds, the final scene where you turn off the light in the shop to close out your day, very beautifully done! It's not easy to always remember to hold your camera/phone steady, narrating and always acting naturally all the while still focusing on the actual work... Schmidt you make very high quality video!

Hey SCHIMDT. If he didn't think you were qualified and able to do a good job he wouldn't have given you the keys. He trusted you. Why? Because of your experience with 1st Class. Get some rest. B SAFE SCHIMDT. 🚚💨💨💨💨

It is great watching an "Old Dog" learning new tricks.
Kurt, there are a lot of people out there that would not even try to learn something new like you are doing. You are willing to put yourself out there and not be afraid of possibly embarrassing yourself on camera. Keep up the Great Video's showing American City Folk what Farming is really like...

Wheat bread is a little better than white bread. John Deere has bluetooth so the combine driver can control the tractor pulling the grain cart. It takes a while, but soon you will appreciate the automatic transmissions. That radiator was really filled with dust and matter. I seen a combine several years ago, combining in a field and the operator forgot to turn off the unload auger, he was harvesting and spreading corn across the field. Nothing wrong with stopping the combine to unload, just takes a little longer. I helped a friend when combining the combine was a IH 64 pull type, pulled with a IH 656, and I was hauling away beans and wheat with a super H and wagon. Good memories. Does the grain cart have scales, would be interesting to see the weights.

I drove a 2018 International that was an automatic. I honestly don't recall it having issues shifting like Little Red Riding Hood. It had get up and go, when it felt like having get up and go... oh wait. That's when it was bobtail. 😂
Stay safe! I'm enjoying these farming videos.

farming has gotten a lot more modern since my aunt owned a farm. I used to go help with harvest driving a tractor that my cousin adapted for me to drive. I have pulled many different things behind it including kids in a hay wagon on reunions lol. I even had a bull argue with it cutting through the pasture. he didn't like that and had my completely on the seat hoping he didn't tip me over lol.

Like most little boys, my 4 yr old grandson loves big vehicles of all types. I showed him the different farm equipment, the big tire, but the part he liked the most was you talking about walking in the wind and not getting dirty. I have no idea why, but I had to play that part 4x. You have a new fan. 🚜

A future Opie cheeseburger may be on one of those trucks. I never would have guessed that you would be making harvest videos. I'm loving them. Lunch is between breakfast and dinner, and/or dinner and supper. You're good. A grain cart is a very different animal. You'll have them unloading on the go soon enough. Keep at it! I drove a lot of automatics as I drove out of Ontario for the last 15 years of my driving adventure. The Eaton-Fuller automatics were the worst and the Meritor (now taken over by Cummings) and Volvo I-shift were the smoothest. The Volvo had more features, probably since it was newer, but both were a pleasure to drive. In the middle was the Freightliner automatic which shifted smoothly but had to be run in manual if you were climbing hills; in auto mode, it shifted at it's rpm shift point regardless of speed. It also had a 2-speed reverse gear so if you had to back up for 100 yards or so, the damm thing would upshift if you weren't careful of your speed. Pita.

You will get the hang of the grain cart. You adapt very well and seek perfection. You’re doing great. In my day we just had bobtail trucks but I ran the combine. That was the in the short time I helped on the farm operation before I took over the cattle operation. Much slower with 16ft headers and MUCH smaller tractors. You doing good. Stay safe and as always havagudun.
