Something tells me, that those demo scenes could explain the storyline of an unnamed racer differently. I say unnamed, because in my opinion in those demos is not Ryan Cooper, which again would make a lot of sense. Because just think about it, he became a most wanted racer, evaded custody in Rockport (which makes him a criminal) escaped to Palmont, got bounty on his head (explains Cross in Palmont), and after all of that, he suddenly can take part in legal racing? I find it hard to believe.
Yeah, Hero and Ryan Cooper are actually two different protagonists.. however, I have my own unpopular theory about Hero's racing career timeline.. Hero actually started his racing days on NFS Underground 1 story, we can really noticed how Samantha implied us (Hero) as a newbie at the beginning, having the whole daydreaming and all.. and then Hero proved anything that he can to be the best and beat the bosses, Eddie, Melissa, etc.. after that, the story (obviously) continues to Underground 2 (ROG did mentioned Bayview - he knew something about Hero, and yes, this confirms that Hero is the same protagonist as Underground's protagonist). After gettin much reputation on the street of both Olympic and Bayview, Darius put a notice to this. Then he contacted Hero asking as if Hero can be his trusted (guaranteed to be good) racer for his own "business". That's the flashback story that we saw on NFS Carbon prologue, Hero with the blue Supra. We knew how the story goes, Hero went out from Palmont after the race. Knowing Hero is kinda being hunted or wanted (as how Darius explained it to Hero on that last timer call), us (Hero), decided to lay low from street racing scene. Decided to join the legal festival racing scene. Hero eventually joined the legal festival racing scene that we all know it's where the NFS ProStreet plot plays at, but again, Hero is not Ryan Cooper. (How do I know this part? Did research on internet, found an easter egg: the ProStreet's festival Host did once mentioned about a Supra with features we all familiar with + mentioning the "NFS CRBN" license plate, being not properly parked outside the festival). This is the core of my unpopular theory. Besides, it would be much more sense if Hero ever been into the festival right? Thus that explains how he got the famous BMW M3 GTR from. A car, which, in Sergeant Cross's opinion is ".. and see if it's Street Legal? There are odds, aren't they?" (Confirms the car isn't street legal = car made only for legal circuit racing) Wrapped with the exact same livery pattern as we saw on some racers on ProStreet which drives the M3 (just different color, silver-grey not silver-blue). You know, I'm not really a names guy when it comes to games, I can barely remember the names of machines in games, especially cars... but I've just realised something, while sitting in the car listening to feel it by d4vd, going home for the holidays. I CAN REMEMBER the name of the Bmw m3 gtr, that might not sound like much, but that really means something to me. It means that this game, This car, is really memorable, this beautiful car filled game from 2005, has shown that it really means something to me. And for that... for that I am thankful. Thank you EA, THANK YOU, you've genuinely made my life worth more.

the only thing i that i wish for more race start cutscenes is you being chased by the police you wreck one of them and the police car you rammed gets in the way of the other police car then crashes while the other races drifts to the start line and you going to the finish line and you jump on the ramp then to the finish line and the other races wait in the start line and you driving to the start line with the other races drifting to the start line and the 2 other races try to go to the finish line and one of them bump a civillian car that crashes to a news van and some police pursuit cutscenes like the player drifiting while the police cars chase them and the player crashes one of the police
