Minor differences noticed:
-Leftover camera angle from UG2
-Shiftpatterns from UG2 (how cars sound when changing gears)
-Better ps2 graphics
-Better looking and judging by the footage heavier police cars
-Weirdly placed tool booths (the one on the boardwalk)
-Cool sequences we never got in the final game (The jump over the roadblock, and the little Cross sequence at the end)
-The drag race we almost got in the final version (final version has a different starting position and has a different scripted traffic pattern)
-Rog as a blacklist member
-Weird car handling
-Speedbreaker is just slow-mo and doesn't affect handling like the final version (again judging by footage I've seen)

M3 with yellow headlights actually looks so cool
but why in demo cross is yellow but i have the cd for the game and in the first cutscene when u start the game cross is yellow but in the game its white?
I like the PS2 demo more than the PC demo of this game. I also love how Rog is Blacklist #16, but in the actual game, you race him before trying against Razor. This makes you think that this takes place somewhere between 6 and 4 days ago, before you race Ronnie in the intro.
It's also cool how this game has an Evaded Capture screen with the Pursuit results, which wasn't present in the actual game.
Also, M3 GTR for the win!
Funny thing is... Ronnie and Bull were number 2 and 1 while razor was number 15, yet... Razor is the one that acts like he's calling the shots. Vic and Baron switched rankings

Honestly I'm also thinking that Rog could be in fact one of the Blacklist, and I think Razor's Mustang was indeed Rog's Mustang. I guess both of them did a pink slip race too to gain on the Blacklist ranking. Razor won, took the Mustang, customized it his own way. That's why Rog in the released version of the game drives a GTO - an aftermath of his lost to Razor. That also explains why'd Rog recognized us already (he raced with us before)
I remember playing From Russia With Love on PS2 when I was little and finding the NFS MW demo as an extra. I knew FRWL demo was on the NFS MW disc but I was blown away how different it was.

Demo police had some cut dialogue it been found in the game files.

I reckon Razor won Rog's Mustang and he used it to beat the player.
it makes sense story wise. Rog therefore has every reason to help you beat razor since he was the one who knocked him off the blacklist

I would've been very okay if they kept the NFSU 2 camera work. I don't know, it just seems more focused on the car and environment. Like how the camera makes a slight turn with every turn so you can see more of it before you go, or how the camera doesn't jump every time you shift gears (like it does in MW/Carbon) so you can actually see the speed you're going at, and it doesn't feel exaggerated. Idk, gives you a better sense of driving. That was the one thing I missed when every subsequent NFS games came out were those camera angles and the overall camera work from NFSU2 and knowing that it was originally going to be in Most Wanted as well kinda makes me sad.
Lots of cut police dialogs in this beta.... there's even one of the police announcing a pink Pagani
P.S. the M3 GTR sounds actually like the real M3 GTR in here

I was 9 when NFSMW released and I couldn't buy the full version of this game because I wasn't have money. Because of that as I remember I played this demo version at least 5 times 🙂
The game looks better because it is played on upscaled resolution on an PS2 emulator, if it was displayed on a real PS2 you would see the difference.
My gameplay video of this demo on my channel were basically hardware PS2 gameplay I just simply forced 480p on OPL GSM.

Really wished they kept the beta cruisers. They were much better looking compared to the final versions.
The final versions are not even close to a Crown Vic, why would they do that??
@@VigorousDragon819 maybe so more problems with Ford about using Crown Victorias, but other hand, they had license for Crown Victoria back in HP 2.

@@dynamicjessie7726 Yeah I agree. The newer ones like Payback were not really great. (Payback was like the new F&F's movies so it was bad af.) But the only one at the moment that is pretty good imo is NFS Heat. It reminds me of the older NFS titles so it's the only real good one for me.

Im not sure if this is the ps2 version or even a demo because on the ps2 you wasnt able to look though the car windows because of the hardware limitation

graphics for the sake of more like it's better than what has been released
on ps2 the graphics looks cleaner than the final but the final "piss filter" in the final version they did better,but the most gorgeous most wanted experience is the xbox 360 version

The PS2 Beta looks way more better and interesting, than the final version on XBox 360, or PC, I guess, that's because of the Cinematic's filter, or something

the thing is , i seened on the differend PS2 videos , normaly that M3 is red , not blue , that is strange
in final game, stock m3 gtr is red. These cars in NFS demos are tuned by developers. Xbox(not 360) had white and black bmw.
It is just me or the trailer in 2 screen got stuck and lagging, oh wait is just natural error.

this beta version has a weird VHS like filter.

The cop chases probably put a ton of stress on the PS2 when a lot of cars were on screen so they had to reduce some details. This resolution is also HD which the PS2 wouldnt be able to support so it will look better than the original ps2 disc
I bet this game pushed the PS2 to its limits at the time.
I wonder what that cheat code gives you when you enter it in the final release of MW

its because its being played on a emulator
and on REAL hardware, this is not the case
On PS2 hardware the performance were atrocious playing on OPL.
It just constantly dropped below 30 fps forget about the cop pursuit it was a mess sometimes low 10s fps no wonder they have to dropped the graphics a nd effects to make the final game playable.
But I gotta admired how much harder the game is with basically a U2 physics,camera and super aggressive cops the demo cops make final game cops looked tame and lazy.
007 FRWL have this demo but only on PS2 version while Xbox version just have a trailer instead.
