Is there a way for adding or faking wind for the particles? The whitewater flying in the air would really look more realistic in an ocean scene if some wind affect them
@@FLIPFluids i dont know what im doing wrong but : the addon's force field actually affects the surface fluid and the particles. Instead Blender defaults forces do nothing. Is there a way to affect only particles?
@RaffoVFX you cannot use blenders force field but our own like you already tested. The trick is to set the fluidparticles to zero in the force field settings.
Incredibly excited for the company tools coming! Any chance we can someday get buoyancy, the ability to make collision objects realistically float and move with the water? This has been my top need for years.
Unfortunately no. 2-way physics is nothing we are planning to develop atm. However - there is a great tutorial about how to fake it:ruclips.net/video/JyfMQ6RX6nA/видео.html
If you would like to update you should backup your file 1st. Then you can delete all the Motionblur modifiers (surface and all whitewater objects). Save the file and reopen it. And then click the initialize motion blur button. In some cases reloading the last frame is required. Hope it helps.
Nice🎉
Great update for a great addon! Top work.
Thank you for keep updating!

Yes that works. You can use force fields to blow spray away while the surface is not affected

@@FLIPFluids Found that panel thanks to your tip, much appreciated:) Great job with this addon, it surprises me especially the multi threading!
@RaffoVFX glad to help ☺️ enjoy the Addon!

这个插件什么时候可以开发Nuke版本的
Is it possible to create a moving simulation box so the simulation can follow a boat or ship without creating very large box?
Nope - but you can make the water move and it looks like the boat is moving. However it requires to do some compositing.
@@FLIPFluids i'm not sure I understood that. Is there a tutorial or example of this?
Is it fine to upgrade in the middle of a bake? Or best to allow it to finish with the older version? I am using point cloud for whitewater particles.
Keep a back up and try upgrading it to newer version. If anything fails you can always return back.
I would finish baking with one version. you will be able to use the finished simulation after baking.
I will wait. It’s too long to just repeat the bake
cool
👏
Is crashing due to game ready drivers has been fixed?
Didn’t test this actually. But meanwhile it could work.
How to.update from old one ?
