    Amazing bike, I recently bought my comp carbon x01 build. Installed Nobl TR32 DT240 with Berd spokes and light tires, carbon cranks, carbon handlebars got it down to 25lbs in s4 ! It climbs so well that I been PR’ing climbs i set when I was 40lbs lighter in weight

    I bought a 21 S-Works frame last year and built it up with XT drivetrain and brakes, WAO Faction wheels with DT350’s, Bike-Yoke dropper and some Trail1 carbon bars. Bike is right about 27.5 lbs. As trail bikes go it’s on the lighter side and, to your point, can be set up to race XC or endurance events. The engineering of the frame is impressive. If you noticed, the chain line on these bikes is perfect. I have a SJ EVO as well. They’re both great.

    I got this exact version (from the 2022 model year) for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it.
    The cable routing, the chainstay and downtube protection, the swat door, the udh hanger.
    It really feels like they thought of everything.
    The only things I didn't like were the pedal bob (although it's sweetened by a very active rear end), the relatively small front chainring and relatively short dropper post.

    • @LoveMTB
      @LoveMTB  Год назад +1

      Good points! I plan to make some changes to it, chainring, wheels, bars and probably dropper. Pedal bob tamed with a bit more compression? What do you think? Do you keep in open or pedal mode?

    Like you, I've just purchased the S2 and it feels really fun to ride when compared to my 2020 Alloy Stumpy. I do prefer Shimano when it comes to the shifter but the smoothness of changing gears of the NX is much better, not sure how to make it smoother and quieter.
    As for upgrades and accessories I've got the Shimano Saint pedals and am waiting on a Renthal Fatbar Carbon V2 with 40mm rise. I also got a Syncros mudguard for the 34 Forks and finally the FoxFolk Dirtskirt. Can't wait to ride it this weekend!

    I did buy this bike two weeks ago in Switzerland s4 in the Gloss White/Black version. The Shop sold me this Bike for 2800 CHF (3130 US / 2800 Euro). which is a absolutely insane price for this bike. I usually buy Scott Genius Bikes, but the new 2023 version with the hidden rear shock are expensive.
    I did instal a Dirtskirt protection on the rear carbon linkage gap to protect it from rocks. I also did replace the Butcher T9 front tire with a ground control grit t7 for faster rolling speed and save up the butcher for the next Winter.
    This Bike is a dream😊

    Another Trial/XC option. My 2021 GIANT Trance 29 2 *(aluminum)* is pretty much the same weight stock as this carbon fame and I was able to get it under 29lbs with a lighter wheelset. I ride a Specialized Chisel, which is a light aluminum XC bike. I've also ridden my buddy's carbon fiber Stumpjumper and I can tell you it did NOT feel light or nimble. While I was putting out around 120W, my friend was struggling to keep up and he's in much better shape than I am. I ended up having to ride the Stumpjumper back to the trail head because he bonked after around 40 minutes. That being said, the bike feels like a monster truck and it eats up rock gardens and roots like nothing else I've ridden. Cheers from NY
