2 n half hours later and finally finished the job. I went from the top and removed the manifold. The hardest part is removing the four bolts on the egr valve because of the angle. My advice if going from the top make sure you have a long extension with a angle socket for the 8mm bolts.
This job is not bad if you have rhino ramps, it did take me about 3 hours but once you find out that all you have to do is loosen the two 8mm and fully remove the Egr tube, you can take the entire Egr and tube as an assembly. And btw I have quite larger hands than normal, all it takes is patience guys and gals. The trick is to use to extension around the transmission which also isn’t bad, better than removing the entire intake manifold.
I hit a bump in my 2008 Dodge magnum an it threw off the timing an it would try to turn over but never would. Tried everything under the ☀ but wouldn't think egr would stop it from turning over but worth a shot but get some codes ran on it first.
What are the symptoms of the car ? I think I have to replace that as well . My car kinda shake a little when it's going to shift an it was Makin a whisle noise
saul jimenez I do not think this is causing your issue. I think that this was replaced because there was an egr code in the computer, but not related to any running problem.
I had the same problem it would shake a lil when holding the gas a lil once in a while it's the egr vale not closing did you get it replaced and did the problem go away
I am having rough idle issues! I have gotten my spark plugs replaced, and sent off my computer to get repaired. The people at SIA Electronics called me and told me nothing was wrong with my computer so they are returning it. Do I need to replace the EGR valve or just clean and rotate them?
Usually if it takes 10 min they say 4 hours. If it takes 4 hours then they say leave car for 2 weeks and it possibly needs to go back to factory :) xaxaxaxa I say this from personal experience. First was Camshaft sensor replacement I have replaced myself in less than 3 minutes and second from suspension that i , without any experience , replaced in less than 1 hour without special tools. And they call themselves professionals. axaxaxaxa, a bunch of foolish crooks, they cant even do job properly
Take off intake and plastic shield wiper arm do job from top extra 45 minutes is worth the BS of reaching around transmission this guy has a hoist try doing this job on a creeper. NOT
Thank you for posting this video it was ease for me to do it
There’s no need to remove intake manifold or wipers motor to do this job !!
Thanks for posting this video. I was hoping it was possible to change the EGR without taking off the intake and your video shows it all.

What torque specs did you use?
Fasstv8 remove intake manifold, Correct? I heard it was easier from the top too. not much room below, unless you have a umpaloompa! 👍

Do you have a video replacing a starter for a 2006 Chrysler limited edition? The car won't start however, all the lights are functioning.
Are you in a shop using a lift or jack stands? Gonna have to do this job and I'm trying to decide do I want to do it from above or below
2006 Chrysler 300 2.7L. Replacing the EGR was the hardest thing I ever did.
is the EGR pipe SUPPOSE TO HAVE PLAY to hook it back to the intake manifold?? because mine has a lot of play
You never posted how long it took you to do the job?
I'm thinking of going below like you did!
What does the EGR vavle do?
Awesome bro! Thanks for sharing.
My 2007 300 stopped while I was driving and now all it do is turn over won't crank. I was wondering what the EGR cause that problem?
