I haven’t seen too many pomp’s but there has been an occasional black drum bite In Daytona area. there has been a bunch of small ones. As I went further south they were bigger.
Nice fishing brother, what kind of reel, line, hook, weights, etc setup do you like running for fishing from the pier? I fish freshwater a lot but haven’t tried salt water yet. Looks like fun.
Thank you I appreciate it. In this video I was running my 7’ 4500 Penn spinfisher and 7’ Penn pursuit LE. As far as setups fishing here, I run just a basic Carolina rig and weight varies depending on current. Hook size; Penn spin: size 1, Penn LE size 4
What are some good options as far as lures and setups do you use for freshwater? Living near the coast there is mostly saltwater around, so I primarily fish saltwater.
@@386outdoors_ Here in Northeast Georgia, I do a lot of lake fishing in Lake Hartwell, Lake Oconee, Lake Lanier, etc. Usually most of my rigs consist of light action 7’ rods, couple of bait caster and spinning reels, 8-10lb green monofilament trilene line, lures like trick worms, flukes, lizards, rooster tails, shakey heads, stuff like that. Usually I fish without weights unless in really deep water. I’ve been catching largemouth and some striper bass lately.
Nice! I run a few bait casters myself. That is informative info bc I don’t freshwater fish that often. When I do I will keep in mind some of those lure to try. I am big on lures and artificials as well, I catch a bunch of fish on arti as you’ll see in other videos I have posted.
Dam lol I was wondering why. I love your channel bro. I live in Daytona beach. Don’t see much vloggers in this area. I’ll be starting one soon. Would like to see more drum catch and cook videos.
